A great, engaging plot ties together with plenty of goofy sidestories, a ton of ways to waste your time, fun and brutal combat and a killer soundtrack to make a great way into a lengthy franchise. Easily worth picking up if the first couple hours get you interested.

The story might not reach the heights of the PS2 trilogy, but this game stands up with the best of the series on its fantastic gameplay, fun missions and incredible soundtrack. Definitely worth a shot if the arcade-y flight combat genre catches your eye.

This might just be the hardest racing game out there, and that's fantastic. You'll either fail your way to being amazing or you'll learn from outside sources, but either way, this game will not be a walk in the park. Power through the failures and it becomes one of the most exhilarating racing games out there!

It's a fun game, but online's a grindy mess. There's lots of content, but it's filled with cheaters and making financial progress takes ages, likely to try and get even more money from microtransactions, as if being the fourth best selling game of all time and re-releasing it twice isn't enough.

TakeTwo have recently DMCA'd OpenIV, the core mod of the GTA 5 modding community. Apparently people ruining the game for everyone else online gets a pass, but making isolated changes in singleplayer is what's unforgiveable. In short, ♥♥♥♥ them.

Excellent music, fun and challenging (seriously, this gets bloody tough) and a good story to boot. Cave Story strikes a nice balance between story and gameplay, neither really overpowering the other, and shows an excellent level of quality.

All I've said so far gets made even better with the following fact: Cave Story was made by one guy, and it shows - you can tell there's a lot of heart. Sure, some things don't make sense (like having to NOT get a jetpack to achieve the best ending) but that's the other side of solo development: maybe something makes sense to you, but it's also entirely possible that you're bonkers.

That doesn't tarnish it all that much, though. Cave Story is a classic, and rightfully deserves its reputation as such.

If you want to train your reaction times and hand-eye co-ordination, this a great cheap little game to do it with. Chipzel's brilliant soundtrack makes the endless death/restart cycle much more enjoyable, and while incredibly difficult, this game is equally easy to pick up and improve at.

This is an old gem from years ago, and while it's fun to play, looking at it critically now, nostalgia isn't enough to save it. One of the main features (I assume would be), the multiplayer, is all but locked behind a $32 paywall. In a game like this, $32 is way, way too much. Locking this old game to singleplayer only is a massive mistake, and the whole game suffers for it.

This game is packed to the brim with fun; the mechanics are all very fun to make use of, the combat is very solid, the bosses are sure to give you an adrenaline rush, and the soundtrack is near unparalleled. The only main issues I have are the Quick time events, although they only appear infrequently, the unimproved graphics from the console version, and the occassional camera issue. All in all, MGR:R is a great game that will provide a lot of fun, be it taking down the bosses just to hear the amazing music, or turning one helicopter into 300 paperweights.

If you're into hack-n-slashers, I seriously recommend this game; you do not want to miss out.

A great mashup of the RTS and Brawler genres that still flows wonderfully. Solid gameplay, a great soundtrack of the metal greats and a unique aesthetic quality backed up by graphic fidelity make this title worth your time.
