endlessly addictive, entirely skill based, excellent calibration system, editor, and practice system.

it's a taste of freedom. the most complimentary smear campaign ever run.

also, I truly hope this inspires more fun and frivolity.

this is a real gem. here's what I loved:
the art, the sleeve painter, the calibration system, the moving window gimmick, the SFX, the variety of genres, and the easter eggs (seriously, the attention to detail is amazing).

here's what irked me a bit:
unbalanced difficulty throughout songs, tutorializing during songs (even the boss ones), and the cheap curveballs (especially with that politician).

I guess the iffy parts boiled down to the actual maps themselves, which is a difficult fix when they're very intermingled with the songs. honestly though, these things didn't bother me other than when going for S+ (due to repetitiveness/choke points + my inability to focus). ← these issues were all but absent in the collab levels.

I would say that it's a very rewarding game that plays with auditory and visual input in creative ways. worth the buy

also, I don't think offset works in beans hopper lol.
