got the same issue but i didnt delete anything lol, tried so many damn potential solutions online but nothing fixed it, and steam and microsoft didnt do anything either :^)

Maybe not to create, but to verify. At least that is what I have read. If you mistype your password, they may request phone verification, even if you know the password and can put it in correctly after the fact, seemingly a mistake on the first try.

No it's not. It's just a broken game launcher. Instead of doing it the way EA or Ubi does (e.g. launching their launchers and then launching game from there) MCC relies on XBox app being embeded into Windows.

@-Silver- AFAIK Microsoft doesn't require phone number to create account. Their software is bloat so I deleted it.

@Cloamker I am sure they mean for privacy concerns or because it is bloatware if not being used. And as I am finding out, you do have to register your phone number for verification purposes, even if you only plan on playing the single player campaigns. People claim it is not Halo's fault, but how Xbox/Microsoft works. But Halo is Xbox/Microsoft as far as I am concerned, so it is all the same to me. I refunded.

Lol, your basically saying this game is trash because you can't play it due to deleting vital Xbox live software when this game is literally an Xbox game. And plus, what reasons do you have to delete Microsoft software? That part confuses me.
