Rather than yet another wall of text, here's a short summary :

It is an amazing title to play through.. exactly once.
Is that worth 45 euro? As much as i love the direction and the developers, as much as it has an amazing feel, ui and absolutely brilliant setting, it's not.

It's not deep enough.
It's not replayable.
It's about 10 hours long.
It's not enough for this kind of money.
If you "play" the system, it doesn't hold up even for the single playthrough, alas.

Hoping for a better release next time, would be a shame to see the studio collapse, but this ain't it, Chief.

I've thrown a lot of money at the TW series and had fun for many, many years.
From the early Rome to the madness that is Warhammer trilogy.

Recent company policies, questionable PR moves, drop in product quality and pure greed remind us just how quickly can things go south.
Vote with your wallet.

Gameplay is uncharacteristically shallow and repetitive for this studio. There are minigames in other titles from the same price range that require more cells to operate

The game goes for the tongue in cheek, exaggerated approach which some may find fun, but for me it was a bit much, especially with the studios sour approach to criticism

Very much a dud, a shame after the absolute banger that was Dungeon 'of the'

I have played every single strategic mind and find the gameplay to be quite solid. Lots of options, a strategic long term aspect mixed very nicely with a tactical map. Interesting approach to rewards and alternative history.

That said. I can't. I just can't. It has gone on for too long.

These ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ voice actors they found in the rejection box at a dumpster somewhere.
It is an insult to hear something that is worse than microsoft speech simulator from 20 years ago.
It is as if somebody gave them a phonetic script of what they want them to say, with neither one even knowing what language, emotions or speech is.
Everything is always wrong in the stupidest ways possible.
They cannot pronounce words, names, cities, anything.
Based on where the studio might be located, i am both gagging and vomiting at the same time at how they pronounce cities in their own region.

I am not a native speaker, i work with non-native speakers trying to learn foreign languages. I have heard illiterate people have a better go at it.
This is a mockery, a joke, a tragedy. It is not being taken seriously, as even asking random homeless people that haven't heard of the English language would bring better results.

5 games is too much.

The game was released in a state that redefines garbage.
It crashes. It lags, It stutters. The publisher's "state of the game" was a spit in the face, but what else could you expect from EA.
It costs 70$

There are some good characters, balanced with "plot demands i am an idiot now", it has decent plot, that just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nosedives at a certain point (quite common these days, eh?)
It tries to add significance to the meaningless...
It also costs 70$

The combat is fun, though on anything below grand master you'll get bored to tears, and even on the hardest difficulty it is yet another assassin's creed / batman / witcher, where you have answers to anything that is happening at any given time.
Some boss fights are really great, while others are repeated, then repeated with the addition of other bosses, and then repeated some more... and then some completely ignore the game's mechanics, for scripted events.
By the way, 70$

It's good fun for some time, provided it doesn't crash, provided it doesn't bug the ♥♥♥♥ out, provided you're fine with a talent tree that ends about a quarter into the game and don't really expect to be taken aback by the story or the world.

Rayvis was baller, the ending a tragedy and the game offered zero choices throughout.
It is not worth 70$

Great little game, very worth the money

As you can expect, the gameplay is a bit too shallow and repetitive to compete with the x-coms and like. But It will scratch that itch left after into the breach, dungeon of the endless etc.

Hopefully it is successful enough to receive expansions / sequels and whatnot, the talent is there.

Why are you reading reviews? It's a blood DLC and it's free.

Game is a partial recreation of Ernest Shackleton's expedition, worth doing research if you enjoy the game. The game follows almost all of the details quite faithfully, with most differences coming from order / duration of events, and then taking a turn near the very end.

Despite the rather numerous bugs - at least on day 1 - the game is very enjoyable. Best described as a combat-less Banner Saga, you take care of the crew, making sure they don't die or you don't run out of resources.

The game is very light on any strategy, constructing or even difficult choices, gameplay revolves around simple gathering and stockpiling resources, while juggling some negative statuses and keep NPC's happy. It is a story-driven and focused game, and the story, characters and MUSIC are all very solid.

That said, the ending did feel somewhat rushed, leading to forced issues. The pacing changed and it became apparent that writing tried creating drama, despite the outcome being obvious from the very start. With all the bars filled, the narrative still punched me in the face with "BUT ARE THEY LOYAL?!" a bit too frequently.

As for the replay value, here i am with the best ending, missing 20 achievements for doing 'worse'.

Definitely a recommend, just know what to expect

Do you like Gwent?
This is essentially Gwent, with much, MUCH more RNG - our favourite aspect of Gwent, right? - and one round in place of three.
Do you like Slay the Spire?
It's like that, but transitions between screens take eons, there's far less variety and it's much shorter per run, so you make maybe 10 decisions per game, if that.

Do you like good games?
This ain't it.

Early Access Review
To put it short : it is crude and jank in almost all measurable aspects.
But there is some decent gameplay underneath the detritus.

Wish i could give it a neutral, side-thumb.
As is, the fun combat *may* outweigh the terrible presentation, VA, controls, layouts, dialogue, pacing and QoL choices that would feel inadequate in the 90's..
Remember, that You have 2 hours to find out
