I'm a couple hours in now, and I have to say this game is fantastic. Its everything Remake is supposed to be. With the ultrawide mod available now, its become a must play.

Its the high fives, the fist bumps and the pawns you met along the way.

Despite the battle system feeling lackluster, the story makes up for most of the games faults. This is one for the fans.

Highly recommended if it ever goes on sale.

Its a full Marriage Therapy Session (with excellent results btw) for the price of one game.

After extensively testing the game out, I realized something. BONEWORKS, works as a tech demo to VR. I don't deny it being highly experimental with movement, gunplay and puzzles, but there are things that work and don't work in VR and I personally feel that this game communicates that effectively.

In my opinion:
Movement
- Very fluid, feels like Half Life.
- Doesn't always work well, can be cumbersome. (irony isn't it?)
- Full body IK can give you nausea as the illusion can break sometimes.
- Running, jumping and crouching don't necessarily convert well from an FPS into VR.

Gunplay
- Fantastic
- Game needs more parts with Gunplay.
- More guns!

Puzzles
- This is really hit/miss.
- Some puzzles often leave you wondering if you did something wrong.
- Not everything is communicated well.
- The lack of QA can be felt.

I recommend it because its an experience in itself. Worth the entry price. You have to try it to understand what works for you in VR and what doesn't.
