It's a great precision platformer that starts out slow and can ramp up to an insane skill ceiling, but you don't have to go that far if you don't want. The movement might take some getting-used to at first, but once you do, it's pretty fun and satisfying. If you like games like Celeste and Super Meat Boy, you'll like this.

A real diamond in the rough. Once you learn to work with the jank and crust, it's a really fun and unique first-person source RPG with neat build/weapon variety. Also, the story is really weird and convoluted at times, but that's kinda part of the jank.

At first, Noita just seems like a cool magical powder game roguelike, which it is, and is very good at being! Just playing the ""base"" game, going through the typical areas, making cool wands, that's a lot of fun for sure. However, that's just the tip of the iceberg. The real meat of this game is the exploration and the secrets. The map is surprisingly huge and jam-packed with tons of stuff to find! Without it, Noita would still be a really cool and interesting game, but the whole treasure trove to dig for is what really makes it special (as well as how those two halves of the game interact), in my opinion.

This is a really wonderful game. I highly recommend it-- it's got great stuff in everything; art, music, gameplay, and most obviously story. The game gives you a lot to chew on, both in-game and in real life. It's one of those games you'll wish you could experience for the first time again, y'know?

Also, don't take the content warning lightly-- it wraps up a tight bundle of emotions and all that then whacks you square in the face with it. You might cry, I know I did.

The best part about this game is how unique it is-- between the music, the weird vocabulary, and most notably, the visual style, it's something you can't find anywhere else. I'd recommend it just for that alone, but I'm kinda a sucker for that kinda thing. In terms of most thing, it's pretty much a direct upgrade from Hylics 1!
As for gameplay, it can admittedly be a bit janky sometimes. The platforming sections and platforming in general are a bit funky. Combat is usually interesting, as there's plenty of tools and equipment to let you do different things with different characters, as well as lots of status effects and enemies to keep track of. However, just roaming around the world is real fun. Seeing all the strange stuff and uncovering all the secrets (and there's a lot of secrets!) is something you can do for a while and still be immersed.
Overall, wonderful game with a ton of charm and style!

Classic couch co-op multiplayer frenzy fun. I know that's a lot of buzzwords, but really, it's a blast if you've got three friends to ♥♥♥♥ around in this game with. Also, it goes on sale for pretty darn cheap.

Before you buy this game, here's four questions to ponder.
Question 1: Do you like intense, action-packed, difficult, frustrating, yet satisfying gameplay?
Question 2: Do you like good music, generally in the vaporwave/retrowave genre?
Question 3: Do you like interesting stories, woven together in small pieces?
And the final question:
Do you like hurting other people?
