The good:
- Excellent atmosphere.
- Resources are limited.
- Even basic enemies can easily kill you if you make a mistake (as they should in a game like this).
- The above creates a very tense and enjoyable experience
- especially as the combat which involves both stealth and direct combat is extremely enjoyable with plenty of punch.
- The horror is effective and satisfying.
- There is a nice mix of different art styles which take into account the nearest "boss" which helps give different areas there own unique feeling.
- The story is engrossing which has an amazing finale. Yes some of the dialogue isn't the best, but that seems to be part of the intended charm this game is aiming for.
- Upgrading your character results in a tangible difference to how you can play the game, where many similar systems in other games I find to add very little.

The bad:
- Performance leaves a lot to be desired.

If you where one of the many saying you didn't like where resident evil was heading with re5 and re6 this and the first game are what you where asking for. Strongly recommend all survival horror fans check this game out, along with anyone with a passing interest. Just be aware the performance isn't what it should be.

The Positive:
- Excellent atmosphere.
- Resources are limited.
- Really solid gunplay.
- the above creates a very tense and stressfull experience (in a good way).
- this is especially the case as the game is very punishing, especially as you turn the difficulty up.
- has a nice, albiet desaturated art style which may not be for everyone, but I really liked it.
- the story unravels in an interesting manner and whilst the dialogue is of mixed quality the voice acting carries it to the point it is a minor issue.
- upgrading your character results in a tangible difference to how you can play the game, where many similar systems in other games I find to add very little.

The Negative:
- Whislt I have no performance issues anymore, it is something that many still are reporting.
- very narrow fov when playing everything as intended. The black bars can be removed in game now, but to increase the fov requires a third party tool.

If you do not like survival horror this is one to avoid, but if you do minus some technical issues this is certainly a game to check out.

Please note: the game released in a very unstable and unoptimized state with a 30fps cap. However that cap has been removed and the game now at least for myself runs well. The demo isn't the updated version and doesn't reflect how the game currently runs sadly. But beware that some still are reporting issues in this regard.

Pros:
+ absolutely stunning score, if anything i'd recommend checking this out instead of the game.
+ visually a nice looking game especially as it:
+ creates a nice sense of location.

Cons
- runs poorly.
- story isn't engaging.
- pacing is glacial but for no real reason especially as:
- the glowing orb that is meant to help you bugged out on me more then once so I had to restart the game or wonder around with no idea where to go. Without this glowing orb there really isn't always a sense of where you should go which is a particular issue becaue:
- the walking speed is glacial slow, and the walk slightly faster option doesn't really help.
- gameplay is limited to slow walking and some very limited interaction and I mean very limited.

If you liked Dear Esther this may be a game to check out, all other people I couldn't recommend this to. The story isn't particularly engaging, there is minimal to no gameplay/mechanics, and the only saving grace, at least for myself was the mesmerizing and beautiful score which I do recommend.

Pros:
- Great campaign with a solid story and some fun side missions.
- Gameplay is smooth and there is plenty of variation.
- Movement system feels great and allows for varied movement through maps.
- Zombies isn't as good as Tyrarchs but is still good fun.
- MP is fun but very frenetic and it will take time to get use to the speed of.
- Runs well and looks good.

Cons:
- 90fps mp cap.
- Lootcrate system which you can pay real money for is essentially pay to win. :(
- Small playerbase.
- No server browser (please bring this back for all cod games).
- Only populated mp mode is TDM.

Also keep in mind that whilst it runs fine for me some people have reported performance issues (though none here with and i7 3770k, 8gb of ram and a 970). Recommend getting when on sale, the campaign alone is worth the price of admission then and the rest is essentially a bonus.

As an entire package Lethe - Episode 1 is a game that I imagine will sell rather poorly due to the influx of games that took ideas from Amnesia then proceded to essentially copy them badly. Whilst Lethe does take multiple ideas from Amnesia and other games like Bioshock it does so in such a way that creates its own identity and has a fantastic atmosphere and a reasonably engaging story. Graphically the environments and the small number of animations you have are splendidly done and the game runs exceptionally well. Likwise some of the notes you find along with what happens are genuinely haunting.

Which leads me to the games biggest issue. The "monsters" in this game simply are not scary. Don't get me wrong one in particular is conceptually haunting, but there presentation in terms of character models and animations are terrible as are how they interact with the world. Simply cutting them out and having one visible briefly but not hunting you (required for story purposes) would have been far better as whilst the game built up an amazing atmosphere, the big bads cause a large amount of effort to dissipate as soon as they show up.

The game is also not complete per se, in that it is clearly set up for episode 2. An episode which very possibly will not happen given how poorly this game has thus far sold.

Would I recommend this game? Yes. Even with the above fairly noticable issues I think it is worth picking up for fans of the genre. If you are not a fan of the genre then this will do nothing to change your mind.

Release on PC, played by few and abandoned by the devs and that last point is the main issue. Bubbeling underneath this game are some promising mechanics that with some better level design, some fleshing out and polishing could have lead to an amazing game. However the game was clearly rushed through production to get a release soon enough after the tv show it was related to was cancelled to not be entirely irrelevant.

Graphically the game is sub par, likewise the voice acting and sound in general simply does nothing to draw and beyond the average sound effects the sound work is lower then I woulkd expect from such a release. Especially how they push the sound of character tos your left entirely to the left hand side of your sound system and similar.

The story is terrible, and the characters completely forgetable, but at its core there is some gameplay value. Which whilst it never feels fleshed out remains entertaining enough. However with all the negatives present and its extremely small amount of content the only time I could recommend this is once it is on a steep discount (think 75% off or more). It isn't terrible, but it misses the numerous opportunities it has to be something special and is just okay but overpriced for its length and quality.

ABZI is a game much like Journey, in both art design (which is unsuprising given who was involved) and in how it feels. If you have played Journey and loved it, ABZU is an easy recommendation, however if you though it was simply okay or didn't enjoy it, ABZU is either not worth it's current price point or simply isn't worth getting.

It is a beautifull game, with stunning art design and music that perfectly compliments the moments it is present in. The controls are solid and the overall experience is amazing. However as suggested above, given it's current price point I would advice people wait for a sale. The game is amazing, but given that simply playing the game as it seems to have been intended I had reached the credits in 85 minutes, which included pausing the game to briefly making a coffee. Those suggest it is significantly longer I can only imagine where padding the time by looking at everything by swimming up close it it and staring at it, which essentially can make any game long.

Put simply, this is a must play experience for anyway who likes atmospheric games and are not bothered by minimal mechanical complexity (I can hardly say there is any present here). It just may be worth waiting for a sale unless you truly feel you have to play it now due to its very small amount of content.

Pros:
+ the outdoor environments where decidingly mediocre looking but enteriors (where most of the game takes place) look good given this is a budget release.
+ developers have made some good choices with there limited budget (no use of what likely would have been bad voice acting etc).
+ Some chilling/unique horror moments are present.

Cons:
-Many expected pc features missing. No fov, the mouse sensitivity can only be changed at the main menu. Prompts in game are not reflective of key changes made.
- puzzles, if you can call them that mostly rely on you walking around often just clicking e (the use button) waiting for something to happen.
- the above directly combines with triggers often taking a long time to occur, meaning you just are walking around aimlessly. These last two points are the reall issue with the game, an unsetttling atmosphere becomes mundane/boring if you make someone walk around the same environment for an extended period of time with nothing really changing up as you search for what will push the game foward.
- you get stuck in the same envornments walking back and forth over and over.... and over again.
- the story, in particular the ending is a disaster. Trully horrible, unengaging and makes what happened seem pointless (though i'm told there are multiple endings based on a fairly obvious choise, so maybe the other ending(s) is/are better.
- very little content, the game is simply short and if you knew where to go could easily walk through it in 20ish minutes I imagine. The rest of the twoish hours it will take to finish is spent walking back and forth in the same environments as said above waiting for triggers to occur or to find the next thing you need.

In summary: Left Alone is a cheap game seemingly made by two people that at first intrigued me but ultimately feels to vague to the point my patience was being worn down. It has some moments and with some more compelling and interesting puzzles and more time to perculate we could have had something great.

As it is it may be worth picking up on a sale even at its already low price for those looking for a horror game. So this isn't entirelya don't purchase it, but more of a wait untill it's even cheaper as there is a very strong chance it won't be for you. It has potential, but sadly much of it is missed.

The game is a scam. The idea is good, but the developer isn't interested in working or updating the game and has taking peoples money and abandoned the game.

Stay far away.

Pros, cons and so on are below. But in terms of the campaign, it is probably my favourite fps campaign since F.E.A.R. with an absolutely stunning gameplay loop. Absolutely amazing stuff. I've been enjoying the multiplayer to, which isn't as brilliant as the campaign thus far but is still fun. Certianly not tacked on, but certainly not as good as the campaign.

Pros:
+ the gameplay loop is just amazing, it does start of slow though, but it picks up pace very quickly.
+ Runs Great (everything but shadows and Vitual Texturing Page Size maxed as the nightmare setting are not selectable unless you have 5gb of vram. Otherwise maxed and always above 60 with a 970). * by using "+menu_advanced_AllowAllSettings 1" in launch options you can select the higher graphical modes and from an hour or so of playing completely maxed the performance hit isn't massive but it did cause some minor stutter for myself. However if you lock to 60fps this may not be an issue as the game didn't dip below that point).
+ Guns are varied in use and fun to use.
+ Fast paced, as in very fast paced though it does start of relatively slow compared to just a little later into the game.
+ Sprint by default, though you can make your character move slower.
+ Vartiety has been added with upgrades that add to the chaos.
+ The game is gorgeous and the levels varied.
+ The movement system is fantastic.
+ Whilst no open world the levels are large and expansive.
+ The verticality in said levels is used brilliantly to enhance the options you have from moment to moment.
+ Enemies are nicely varied requiring different tactics to take out. Especially when you up the difficulty.
+ Plenty of secrets and things to look around and find.
+ Melee attacks are a nice addition that add some tactics for getting health back
+ Minimal story with very few cutscene like moments so far (yes, doom should not be overly cut scene or lore heavy, it at its core is about killing demons). What is there however is done well, it just isn't front and center.
+ The voice acting is suprisingly extremely good. There isn't much, but what is there all works as intended. Bravo, it would have been easy to have this let the game down.
+ Loving the multiplayer, but if you didn't like the beta I can't comment as it may be similar (didn't play much of the beta myself).
+ Though I wouldn't listen to it on its own, the music fits the game extremely well. Sometime a track will play when it probably shouldn't (common in games) but overall it fits very well.
+Snapmap adds a large amount of possible content that so far has been quite good. Though only time will tell how much it is used.

Cons:
- Whilst a nice addition to much emphasis is on melee finishers. It is at its worst at the beginning, but I can't help but feel it is something that could have been introduced later once it actually becomes used in a tactical manner.
- No bunny hopping (why, god why) [edit: to be clear it was in Doom 3 and to me is a staple of id games since jumping has been in there games that sadly has been abandoned]. Many I know won't be bothered by this.
- Textures are not poor per se, but certainly could be better.
- Upgrades can be a little on the boring side at times, more health, armor, ammo etc. There weapon upgrades are good fun though.
- Every time you change from single player, to multiplayer to snapmap the game exits and reopens. I minor complaint but still a little annoying.
- Ending is very anticlimatic with clear sequel bait, which given id's track record may never come as a direct follow up.

The Neatral:
+/-: DOOM is fast, like really fasst and thus unsuprisingly this game simply doesn't play very well with a controller. This is to be expected but if you intend to play that way expect your experience to be lessened. This really is a fps where m+k is neaded to play as it seems the designers intended.
+/-: There may if anything be to large an emphasis on having color in every frame present. It isn't horrible but some darker areas would have been aprreciated. I imagine this is doubly so for massive doom 3 fans.
+/-: There are many hoarde like moments where your basically put in an arena against swarms of enemies. I loved this especially because of the degree of verticality present. But I can see some disliking it.

From the multiplayer i've played, I suspect it may only have TDM be active like so many rescent pc shotters sadly.

Review to be updated as I play more.
