Sometimes, this game can be frustrating. Maybe a little more often than sometimes. But it's a great game than is still regularly updated. With each update, a DLC is released that adds even more stuff. That's why you look at the store page, and see so much DLC. BUT, the DLC is not needed to enjoy Europa Universalis IV. Even just the base game is well fleshed out, and fun to play. Some people may not like the DLC, but ultimately, they only add to the game, and aren't necessary to enjoy it.

Moving on from DLC, the game itself has a substantial learning curve. I jumped right into it, and had no idea what I was doing. At the time of me writing this review, I have almost 300 hours in this game. I'm still fairly new to the game, as there is so much complexity to it. I learn something new about it every game. You could play this game for a thousand hours and still not master it.

Finally, I will say that the satisfaction of seeing your nation grow from a small state to a vast empire is incredible, and it's what keeps me coming back to this game so often, even though it is hard.

PROS:

-Not shallow gameplay-wise

CONS:
-Learning Curve
-DLCs add up

Pros:

- Not too easy, not too hard
- Great Replayability

Cons:
- AI is almost always more interested in war rather than friendship
- Often an AI will just snowball to victory, war is basically the only way to stop this.

- Genghis Khan

If you are in doubt about buying this game, do it. Its a great strategy game, and has lots of replayability.

Very Great game about surviving out in the wilderness, starting with absolutely nothing. You have to collect various resources to survive in a harsh and difficult environment. This game is very challenging and I recommend it to anyone who wants to play a difficult game. It has seasons, which add a little change throughout the course of time, so it is not the same thing every day.
