This game sucks you in by feeling like Super Hexagon's much more chill brother. Then you get towards the end of whichever level you chose to do first and you realise that you were lured in the game is a lot more frantic than you first thought!!
Still excellent though and the soundtrack is great

This is a game about choices and compliance, but with the understanding that doing nothing is a choice, and in a game setting doing nothing seems counter-intuitive to the staple of being an active participant in whatever you are playing.

It is a short game (15-20mins), but I view this a prelude to what the studio will go on to make and for that (and to support them) the price point is less than a cuppa and feels more than adequate for the work that obviously went into this project.

Shindig is a lot more than its simple premise and visuals belie.

Tasked with setting up a party after accepting a job offer and travelling to an island the game plays out as a fairly linear point and click adventure that has a run time of a few hours, but it is the characters, the positive social messages, the slightly surreal setting, and the easy going humour of the writing that elevates it above all of anybody's initial impressions.

A joy to play, and a game that deserves better than most will give it credit for <3

I’ll be totally honest and say that I wasn’t sure what to make of Foreveracers when I first tried it. It is not a serious racer that focuses on getting the perfect driving line, and the handling of the cars does take getting used to, but it is clear that a lot of love and time has been put into the game.

The game offers something similar to Burnout Paradise in that all the tracks that you race on are right there in the one open world location, all you need to do is drive through the start line to begin that circuit. When you finish the lap you are instantly given a live world rank based on your time, and your ghost from that run starts the lap again so you can try beating it again.

If you think you could do better in a different vehicle (there are 6 in total to try) you can quickly change your car in the pause menu. Fancy trying a different track? Again you can quickly change your choice in the pause menu.

Even if you aren’t looking to better your own times it is a pleasure to just cruise around the map and experience the day and night cycle that is in the game (accompanied by car headlights so that you can see your way around). You can also be on the look out for some of the hidden and reversed tracks that make up a total count of more than a dozen different courses to try your hand at.

In multiplayer the action gets a lot more frenetic as everybody jostles for the racing line going into corners and the nudging that happens on tbe straights to try and get even a slight advantage.

As it is the game is a lot of fun and is different enough from other driving games to justify owning.

A ridiculously simple concept. A fiendishly fun game. A prime example of a one more go game. Perfect!

Really enjoyed playing Bastion. The story line is maybe a bit linear, and the difficulty (weapon challenges excepted) could be higher.

Overall I'd say recommended
