You are either running around screaming or laughing about your peers running around screaming. The game is hilarious.
We bought our first stun gun. My friend has the gun, I got the shovel. We go into the building without fear. We see a huge thing as wide as the corridor. But we have no fear. We storm towards it, shooting and clubbing.
A moment later it mops the floor with our lifeless bodies.
There are so much stories and experiences for you in this game.

It may not be for everyone, but for me it's great. Most of the time you plan strategies, gather intel on an island before you and provide air and artillery support for your ground vehicles. I find it rather relaxing - and sailing across monster waves into the rising sun has it's own beauty. I like the micromanagement and that you don't get constantly forced into panicked action. Every minute more on intel and planning reduces your stress level during the actual island occupation. This game rewards thinking.

It's interactive eyecandy. So while this works excellent for me, there will be lots of people who want a story. Here is none, there's only some framing to have it happen in space, but not a single bit of it makes any sense (I think it's written by GPT-3).
That aside, it looks breathtaking, the soundscape is wide open, it doesn't give you any negative feedback.
Now if the dev could at least put Jupiter in VR, now that would be something (you already tried did you? Are the volumetric clouds killing any chance on a steady framerate?)

I am not finished yet, but it is awesome.
Go into it unprepared. Don't assum anything. This games surprises you all the time, and everything you find out will feel rewarding and meaningful.
The game mechanics are so polished, the locations so detailed, strange and diverse, the sountrack is perfect.. I love it to bits.

I liked every second of it. Didn't expect to feel emotional about the death of my nemesis. 10/10

This is so satisfying to play. You get an impossible task. You put hours into a meticulous plan, preparing for a complex choereography. And then you get 60 seconds in which everything you worked for finally pays out in a brilliant way.
Everything I could say wouldn't be enough. Just get it. You want this.

I guess something exploded. The last frozen frame was a distorted view of the cockpit, then the whole game crashed.
Still a bit buggy, but fun to play. Reminds me of discovering shipwrecks in subnautica.

Great flow, great workout
I move more in Pistol Whip than in Beat Saber (or better, I move more parts of my body more often). For me it is infinitely more enjoyable to go through a cinematic to make my workout than to stand in a static place and hit on balls and boxes like in any other rhythm game.

Looks good, plays well for most of time. The baton gets rotated during the game, so it difficult to hit something with it (Index user here). Definitely a half-life feel to it.
