i played this game a ton as a child but was never able to beat it, now im a professional game designer and the fencing is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ frustrating lol but it's so fun pirating, i will always enjoy pirating too much to get bogged down in repetitive systems. dead by daylight is a QTE simulation so this is infinitely more enjoyable ad nauseum than that

this is one of the only games i ever saw my dad play growing up so of course i took interest, still holds up- best menu music ever.

it's a basic-ass RPG fishing minigame inside a resident evil inventory manager inside a small but compelling boat upgrade tree inside a well-written tale of classic spooky fisherman village tales.. the minigames mix up, i like them!

You can from the giant, centered floating firefly pendant on a black video asset that spins in front of you from the moment you launch this game that not nearly as much care has gone into this than Naughty Dog's console work... You could say I "played" this for 3 hours but about 2 hours and 50 minutes of that was waiting for shaders to install and the last 10 minutes was wondering why there was no audio despite the in-game output source matching my system output and the test tone working... ah well, I'll update this if the game becomes functional soon.
