Balatro is one of those weird titles that sounds not all that special on paper but when you sit down to play the presentation and easy pick up and play nature of it can easily see you sinking hours into it. Im not really one to play actual poker, or any traditional 52 card deck game for that matter but reviews I saw weren't joking when they say it plays almost closer to something like slay the spire with light poker elements.

You get a limited number of tries to create various poker hands to earn enough chips each round with the required amount steadily raising. You can modify the score of these hands by utilizing a number of extra card types. Some will raise the base amount earned for a hand played or add special modifiers to the cards in your deck (i.e. add 50 chips when played or 1.5x multiplier as long as card stays in hand) and most important of all are the jokers. The game features a huge number of joker cards each one with a different effect/modifier that are able to synergize with one another leading to incredibly fun broken builds where you can start earning a million chips in one hand.

Its a great game to play while you listen to a podcast (though the soundtrack is pretty decent) and I think well worth the asking price, I hope the devs keep making more because they have an eye for fun!

Just beat the first boss as of writing this and I truly cannot recommend this enough for fans of MGS. Raw Metal is part MGS style birds eye view stealth action game that tasks you with sneaking through various levels and part action fighting game where either you or the enemy gets the drop on one another lowering the camera to focus in on the room you're in where you fight using a combination of light and heavy punches and kicks along with various consumable tools.

The demo covers the first area (3 levels and one boss) and is up to date with the current build of the game, I can't describe it better than experiencing it could so just try it out for yourself!

Very fun movement based 3d platformer and a generous amount of content for whats being called a demo, definitely playing more of this and keeping an eye on the full release. A very minor gripe if the devs happen to see this: The game is very quiet except for characters so I have to turn the volume way up while exploring and remember to turn it back down whenever I interact with an npc.

Fantastic game. Addictive gameplay loop, great feeling guns and really quite challenging. Definitely worth trying out if you're looking for something more "gamey" in vr with most similar titles being sandboxes its a refreshing change of pace to see good physics based guns in a more structured environment with goals to work toward. A bit off topic but also love seeing how responsive the devs are, very active in the discussions responding to questions and addressing issues, love to see it.

Pretty much the best barbie dress up simulator for mechs out there with a game added on too. Devs have shown an incredible amount of commitment to improving and adding onto the game over time. I haven't played much but there's been a significant number of updates between each time I pick this back up and I'm always pleasantly surprised by refinements in the gameplay that make it more engaging and less of an obligation to get through so you can unlock more parts. Customization is incredibly deep and I think they even have a demo to show it off so just mess around with that if it seems like you enjoy it then its worth picking this up!

Game good, robot good, robot game really good.

First online match ended in a rage quit... I think half the connection issues people are complaining about are just sore losers.

The game itself is awesome but the port is of poor quality, wait it out if you need it running flawlessly otherwise just know its not going to be a buttery smooth experience for now.

Very short but amazing experience. Mashup the intense firefights in closed off arenas of FEAR with the quick-death-quick-revive gameplay of Hotline Miami and throw in a good sprinkling of wall runs, flips and slides and you have severed steel. Seriously the only negative I have is that there isn't more! P.S. Its totally personal preference but I recommend un-checking "in air control while diving" in the game options otherwise you lose all your momentum if you spin around to shoot someone behind you while diving

I'm gonna stop calling Tim Schafer Mr. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ after playing this.
