Kind of low budget but what it does with that it does amazingly well. Builds and learns on previous games in the puzzle-adventure genre in ways that Obduction failed to. Not a progression in story telling so you might want to give it a miss if that's only what you're looking for, although I still found the story elements fairly engaging.

Puzzles are well balanced, albeit leaning on the tedious side sometimes. Does a good job of gesturing the player in the right direction without holding their hand completely, which gives the game interesting pacing while allowing for exciting 'aha' moments. I'd say difficulty is easy-medium with sprinklings of a Riven style puzzle layout.

Gets a thumbs up from me on the technical side too, game was stable even playing on Linux. Frame-rate while stable wasn't super high so you'll want to make sure you have good hardware for this.

Has good production quality but means nothing when the gameplay and story are boring.

The gameplay is passable but the substance is lacking.

The Talos Principle was engaging and managed to hold its serious tone, here the tone just comes off as pretentious. Plot is clichéd and kind of goes nowhere in the end. Filled with elements that don’t actually make sense and subjects that feel dropped in just for the sake of it.

Doesn’t have the atmosphere or tension of Moon or Alien. The graphics and art direction here are fairly bland. Pacing is tiresome, too much gameplay with too little downtime.

Characters in Portal were witty and likeable, here they are are pretty annoying, especially the MC who constantly acts like a child that can't comprehend anything. (Reminds me of SOMA. I don’t know why devs insist on having moronic main characters, its like they're trying to insult their audience. Films don't have them and they'd debatably be targeting a wider audience even. *Thinks back to Interstellar* Wait no they do I take that back.) Although the AI character in this game is OK, not quite 2001 A Space Odyssey level of death.

As for technical stuff, I think the options menu could use some work. There were no separate y-asis invert controls for mouse and controller which was a bit of an inconvenience for me since I like to switch often. Also there’s no Linux or Mac support, Booo. (Not that I care so much having played it now)

So while obviously inspired by multiple other works, it fails to develop any of those ideas further and just comes off as mediocre all around. I wouldn't recommend this title unless its on a discount and you're desperate for an FPP to play.

Looking back at this game it really is quite underwhelming. Check out Quern instead.

Great atmosphere although the characters are a little iffy and the game would have been better without the monsters. Playing on the new safe mode is nice.

Not great value for money when you consider all that this adds to the original was available freely as mods. Would still have given a positive rating if it weren't for the netcode being complete ♥♥♥♥.

This game is an insult to the existence of Morrowind and represents in whole that which is wrong with the video game industry.

- The worst UI ever released for the PC
- Zero memorable quests
- Absolutely obnoxious level scaling, makes character development irrelevant in context to the game, which is kind of the point of an RPG.
- Steals music from Morrowind
- Evil dragon wants to destroy everyone plot line
- Cities are tiny an all look mostly the same
- Map travel and quest markers ruin any immersion, and the game is fundamentally designed around these.
- The art direction is boring
- Placed objects don't survive reloads
- Dialogue is made up of stupid one liners
- Few interesting skills
- Doesn't encourage and creativity from the player, only quest grinding

This is THE space RTS.

Great atmosphere and mechanics. Visuals and presentation are excellent.

There's no campaign, but you can have plenty of fun using your imagination.
