I bought the game before Maximilian Dood did his amazing Beyond revamp, which is a commendable grassroots effort to bring new life to this VS installment. I deeply thank him for his effort and putting his money so selflessly into this passion project. The problem is that the base game is—pretty much—the worst in the series.

In all honesty, I can't say it is now an excellent game when there are much better fighting games out there, including all the other games in Capcom's VS series available on Steam.

This one is easily one of the best Beat 'Em Ups of the entire genre!

Early Access Review
Simple yet entertaining Castlevania-skinned Bullet Hell RPG. If you have half an hour to kill and wanna just walk around killing enemies with a brutal soundtrack, this is it!

This isn't an SNK ordinary fighting game, it's Smash Queen of Waifu Fighters! It's fun and quirky. Definitely something to play with your buddies.

The only downside I see in this is the small roster and costume selection.

If you've ever wondered what a Frank Miller's Sin City match-three mobile game would be like, look no further. Unlike most mobile games, you have to pay for this and I cannot recommend for you to do so with so many better games out there.

The art is good, the tone is good, the story is serviceable—at best—and that's all the game has going on for it.

Don't get me wrong, the original game is nice, but eigoMANGA really botched this version of the game and they seem more interested in making a mobile game and adding useless extras not worth your time or money. Their comic book is awful and has weird political messages in it.
The UI is as primitive as it comes. It really looks like a high school project made with an archaic computer and the resolution is laughable.

The only good thing you can get from this is the soundtrack. That's the only thing I'm keeping after I uninstall this waste of a good game.

This is a review of Ultra Street Fighter IV in 2021, after the fact. Does it still hold up?

That's a definitive yes. I'd even venture to say it's easily better than Street Fighter V. It's in that sweet spot between the franchise's classic identity and the new ideas that push it forward. You get a full roster, you can find online matches still without much trouble, DLCs are purely cosmetic for this version, it's still competitive in the FGC, and its full price has been already slashed permanently. Definitely a good, replayable purchase even without a sale event.

Cons: new players will find it hard to win against veterans; even D level ones. They are late to the party and these types of games require practice. Although there's plenty single player content and training challenges to get you there,

It's not a good game. It looks nice but it's not even a memorable point-and-click adventure, to be honest. And it's also mostly not cyberpunk.

I have to mention the devs have taken responsibility regarding the shortcomings of the game when it launched and that is the reason I didn't refund it, but I can't say this was a good experience even putting bugs aside. And a costly one for these types of games.

I don't believe we just have to throw money at anything that happened to be targeted by SJWs if it isn't a quality product. We can defend their right to put out whatever content they want in free countries. These are different things.

Arika's Fighting EX Layer is the Street Fighter V we deserved that never happened! The game is just amazing. It looks gorgeous, it has interesting mechanics, lots of choices & perks for different fighting styles, it looks drop-dead gorgeous, and it has had a very nice, silky-smooth rollback netcode since before all the cool kids did.

The cons are hard to explain because the lack of single-player action and the small roster would probably be looked into if the game had more players. It's a shame because it's a masterpiece already as is. The FGC community should really look into this one,
