It’s been ages since I’ve played this game. Don’t get me wrong. This game had the potential however is plagued badly with bugs and other technical issues which can’t be ignored. Some aspects I thoroughly enjoyed, but eventually lamented for playing in the end. Furthermore, I lost the will to finish it up till the end and eventually uninstalled.

PROS:-

1. Fantastic voice acting. I mean the ones during cutscenes. So rich.

2. The environment in which the game is set up is pretty impressive, if not the best.

3. Decent combat.

CONS:-

1. The optimization is a menace. Many with badass specs even complained how unstable the game is and how the FPS constantly fluctuates and isn’t stable at all.

2. Graphics. The visuals feel like someone has put a ton of Vaseline on the screen.

3. Extremely repetitive gameplay. You need to do the same thing over and over again just in different districts of New Bordeaux until you feel like you’re stuck in a loop. I’m not kidding, however that’s the way it is.

4. Storyline is mediocre. However the characters involved are dull and uninteresting. Yes that includes Vito Scaletta as well albeit he’s just a side NPC.

Nope. I personally won’t recommend anyone to grab this game. Maybe on sale just to give it a try but it’s the same old vendetta revenge melodrama.

4/10

Thank you.

Needless to say, this game is a masterpiece. It’s indeed a commendable job by Bandai Namco that they’ve done a considerable amount of research. Instead of writing a lengthy review, I would keep this short and simple by segregating into pros and cons.

P.S- I haven’t ever tried the multiplayer here so can’t comment about it.

PROS-

1. Stunning graphics and visuals. Not gonna lie, I felt in love with this. The different variants of environments, from oceans to forests to mountains to cities and what not.

2. Great optimization. You don’t really need a beefy PC to run this game.

3. Crazy yet entertaining storyline, albeit might be boring for some players.

4. A vast arsenal of fighter jets with multiple opportunities for customization. You don’t need to grind a lot for unlocking all the jets. Most of the jets exist in the real world except a few which are experimental and imaginary.

5. Not a typical flight simulator game, however would even entertain casual gamers. Flight mechanics are pretty simple and ain’t clunky. Playing in the controller is more fun but it’s easy to play with the keyboard after a little practice. No big deal.

All things have a negative side as well just like 2 sides of a coin, so...

CONS:-

1. Missions were interesting and great. However at some point of time it felt sort of repetitive with different environments. It’s not a serious issue though.

2. Characters involved in the game are forgettable, spare the main protagonist. Voice acting wasn’t that good in my opinion.

3. Not very impressed with the DLC missions. Could’ve put more onto it.

4. Checkpoint system sucks real big time. Can easily infuriate players who have little to no patience.

Overall, very enthralling and entertaining. Would definitely recommend to give it a shot. The DLCs were mediocre & probably lacklustre in my opinion, however the game is worth it.

8.8/10

Thank you :)

short playthrough + more versatile & badass weapons with faster gameplay + time loop + arcade mode

Gets even more repetitive but kinda worth a try. Not great, but not trash either.

Psychologically compelling, this game is dope. Sadly, this game ain't available to buy anymore. The aftermath of the cliffhanger is explained well in the DLCs.
Furthermore, I need to add that the gameplay does gets sort of repetitive. Storyline is great tho.
Good work Remedy. 8.5/10

I fail to understand why this game is so well received & reviewed by the critics out there. To be blunt, this is one of the most boring games I've ever played. Wouldn't lengthen my verdict, so I'll keep it short & simple:

Storyline & gameplay: Imo I was sort of fatigued out with the gameplay & it's mechanics which was almost the similar to that of it's predecessor. Craft stuffs & all, explore those hidden tombs for rewards & mastering skills which goes on like a loop, meaning it's repetitive. Plot is nonsensical, sub par. NPCs hardly hold any sort of significance & are easily forgettable. I know it's Tomb Raider, however such a flimsy effort barely made any sense.

Visuals & Optimization: Visuals are good, not GREAT. The map designs are kinda hideous though, especially that Soviet Installation one. Optimization is sort of mediocre, could've been better. (peek at "METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN" where the visuals are way more appealing & optimization is commendable.)

Don't get me wrong. I tried my best & did everything to enjoy while playing, but that moment of exhilaration never happened. Even Tomb Raider(2013) was kinda entertaining, but this is a serious let down. I vehemently resent of playing this gash for 14 hours without any binge play. Meh, atm.

A stupendous game by the Arkane studios, I won't hesitate a bit for saying that Dishonored 2 is thoroughly enjoyable. An impressive feat from it's predecessor which was lit as well, this game leaves no stone upturned to let you devise multiple strategies to finish the levels which also sort of affects the storyline. Thereby, it's replayable as it lets you play as either Emily for the ones who wanna try or fiddle for something new or Corvo for them who still adore that character. I personally found the New game+ mode to be an innovative option made by the devs considering the fact that it enables you to play the game once again and for this mode, one( any character ) has both the outsider powers of Emily & Corvo for a more varied & diverse gameplay.
In short my personal verdict would be-

Storyline-8.5/10
Gameplay-9/10
Graphics- 9/10 ( Serkonos is beautiful & ain't gloomy unlike Dunwall )
Optimization-7/10

One major flaw to be noted about this game is, several have been the prey of it's lackluster optimization & although most bugs and issues have been fixed already by the immediate salvo of patches, problems still persist in it. Anyhow, this game is fabulous.

Thank you :D

I'm writing this review kinda late since I finished this, sorry for that. Simply put, kudos to the Red Candle Studios for this little yet an amazing game. Detention is set during the atrocious White Terror in Taiwan, where thousands or more were persecuted by the authorities of being aligned or affiliated with the communists & the accused were eventually purged with little to no trial. This game somewhat lightens a brief backdrop about the life of the students and the challenges they faced. Won't lenghten my verdict, so keeping it straight & simple:

Although the genre is horror, the game at times (especially during the initial events) establishes a palpable, uneasy & an ominous atmosphere. However, for the horrorphiles who expect this game to scare the heck outta them might not be that impressed (Thankfully it has no cheap jumpscares). Don't be fooled though ! It's emotional, mind boggling plot & storyline legit steals the show. The primary character you play is Fang Ray Shin, who eventually uncovers her tumultuous & mysterious past. As you progress further, it tends to be more melancholic & indeed depressing. To be precise, i was indeed enthralled by the detail & description it offered along with it's environment plus the unpredictability of the plot. It ain't impeccable, yet well polished. The game has few puzzle like elements, but they're easy enough to figure it out & bypass nonetheless. Doesn't offers much choices, but the consquences in the end depend on the decisions you make just prior to the end. Playtime is kinda short, like i finished the game with all type of endings within 6 hours. There are many collectibles in the form of notes, sketches and articles which provides a glimpse about the backstory. In short, this game albeit short leaves no stone upturned & would let the players hook for answers subsequently. Ending would probably leave you mortified. Definitely worth the price.

A final statement : P.S- For the acute horror addicts who love jumpscares, this may not be your type of game. Go for creepypasta or anything like FNAF. Maybe even watch some horror movies instead.

Thank you :)

This game is clearly underrated af tbh. I finished the game (story missions+sidequests) recently and was enthralled by the exqusites it provided for real ! I'll make a gist of my verdict for short instead of a tiresome & a lenghty note:

Story-6/10
Gameplay-8/10
Visuals(textures+environment+yada yada yada)-9/10
Optimization-9/10

Avalanche really did a great job in this. That was clearly visible. Storyline was falling short probably, kinda bland & it seemed that the devs focused more on side quests than the main campaign ones. One of the major cons, however is that the gameplay becomes somewhat repetetive when you do side quests, like liberating camps & removing threats from a region. It's still fun, nonetheless. Options provided for customizing your dream car a.k.a Magnum Opus are impressive. Might feel a wee bit exasperating if binge play is done, yet i'm impressed. Finally the best thing about this game, it offers the compelete one without any hassle of purchasing the dlcs separately. Give it a shot ;)

Hope it helps. Thank you :)

I've finished the game ( still haven't played minerva's den DLC ) already. Tbh it's enjoyable & has a great plot, although it falls short if you compare it with it's predecessor. Talking about visual improvements, there isn't much striking difference if you compare this remastered version with that of the original. People have complained regarding bugs & crashes, however I've not faced any issues for now. I'll make sure to edit my review once I'm done playing minerva's den.

Many have complained about the game abruptly freezing & crashing while selecting new game/load option. There's a fix for that in the link below:-
