I'm not bad at the game, see it's the bad boss design and stupid new levelling system. Copium

Remnants of naezith is a platformer game that is about grappling hooks and speed. The gameplay is based around quite a few tools that are available to you. First there's the grappling hook, which you can either use to swing, or reel yourself in. There's also a dash to boost your speed that refills with time and jump that's self explanatory.

The physics of the game feel amazing, the momentum, the swings, the jumps it all feels great and it makes you feel the speed. Which is the game's main focus, speedrunning. The levels are designed for it, not being longer than a minute, unless you want to play the game more casually, with checkpoints enabled. The game has leaderboards, and nice graphical rewards for the top spot players, which really makes you want to grind the good times. Sadly a friends leaderboard is not a thing as of now.

The electronic soundtrack is amazing, and it fits the game really damn well. Only part I could pick on is that there could've been more songs featured in it.

The developers also included some secret levels, that require you to find them in the main levels first. They seem like a more experimental part of the game, where they just had fun and went full creative. All of them are based around the mechanics you already know, but often used differently than in the main levels.

The options menu is a dream for someone that likes tinkering with stuff. From a wide selection of gameplay stuff such as having checkpoints and replay ghosts, to graphics options that could put some modern AAA titles to shame.

The game might be a bit hard to pick up. It can take a while for all of these mechanics to come together and "feel right". I played the game for about 10 hours when I finally started to feel decent, but after that period boy does it hook you in. When you start feeling the mechanics you'll want to revisit all the old levels to see how bad you were, and how much you can improve.

TL;DR:
Remnants of naezith is an amazing speedrun platformer game that's based around dashing and using your grappling hook. It makes you want to grind for good times to compete against other people at the leaderboards. It might take a while for the game to feel right, since there's quite a few mechanics to master, but once you do, it just hooks you right in. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I think that for that price tag it's a steal.

Arcane golf is, well a golf game, kind of. You are expected to put the ball in a hole, but going through 2d levels it's closer to a platformer with golf controls than to other minigolf type games.

The visuals of the game are very pleasing, and the game actually has some story behind it, with a character talking you through as you progress with the levels, nothing special but adds some to the world.

The gameplay for the most part is also fun, but there are a few exceptions, most levels are designed with a specific way of beating them in mind, but during some I just couldn't figure out what that way could be, since they were really open, with no real indicators what the devs had in mind, some lightly tinted wall bricks as to indicate a first hit, or a place to aim at would be a nice touch, as it was admittedly a bit frustrating to just be stuck and try to find a valiable strategy, while messing with angles, places to shoot from or speeds of the hit. It was rare (only a few levels like that) but as there are no guides for the game it was bothersome.

There's also a problem with the quick restart, which is that, well, it doesn't really work, when you die you can not use it, as your death animation needs to play first, it only restarts if the ball is "alive", it doesn't seem like much, but it's a pain that grows over time.

Now the biggest disappointment in my eyes would be the music, it's absolutely unacceptable, each chapter has a "theme" and each chapter has 50 levels. Now each "theme" is about 10-20 seconds looped, forever. I can not begin describe how maddening it would be to keep that thing on on some of the levels, after getting halfway through with world 1 and realizing it's not changing I've just muted it, and hopefully checked each chapter as I progressed, but it didn't get any better. Do yourself a favour, and disable the music to play your own. It's such a great disappointment because the trailer actually has a great track playing behind it.

TLDR/Summary : It's a good game in general, tainted by a few levels that are unclear with their intentions leaving you scratching your head in a frustrating manner, and music that is a 10-20 second loop of one chiptune. In the end I'd say it's still worth getting at the pricetag it's at.

PS: I wouldn't describe it as a casual game, as you're expected to make it to the hole in a fixed amount of shots, which usually is set to exactly enough to make it, with a few levels being exceptions.

This "game" is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of an achievement spamfest with developers not giving any ♥♥♥♥♥ about their customer base.
I actually went out of my way, and reached to the developers to lock my achievements for this game, with of course 0 response from them.

But from the start. I got this game in a fanatical game bundle.
Without much thought, as I always do I went on about my way to get some cards, and give the game a proper chance.
Who knows, sometimes the games turn out better than they look.
Boy was I wrong. It's your typical RPG maker ♥♥♥♥ tier game, that was made in no time, with the plot as simple as it gets characters that are either bland or obnoxious sold by what else but anime titties, surprise, surprise, how original.
The options aren't even built in as a part of the game's UI. Pressing a button for options actually launches another window on your computer, which I found frustrating, but at least they were included.
The gameplay is your typical RPG maker game, so basically mash the attack button, until the strategy doesn't work. Then mash attack button and use potions and spells if you have any.
I have to say, the graphics actually look bad even for rpg maker standards. The characters don't all fit the same universe and look like were put into the game randomly. There is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map which can make it disorienting while exploring a dungeon and trying to figure out whether you've already seen the particular part or not. The "quests" are literally chores. You're literally asked to get wood or collect chess pieces.

So to sum it up, this "game" is nothing but a way to farm 600 achievements easily(and even that doesn't seem to work for everyone). There is a niche of people who are interested in that, but even they wish those games were gone, since they only buy them to keep their leaderboard place up. Even the target audience wishes games like this not to exist, speaks a lot.

As a platformer fan I love challenging platforming games. Super meat boy, N++, The End is Nigh, that's my ♥♥♥♥. Seeing this I think to myself "huh, this looks interesting", The very cheap price tag made it seem even more intriguing, so I went in without some hope. Sadly I was let down. I'll divide this into sections to make it easier to read.

Graphics - They're not really what I'd qualify as bad, you can see the lack of polish in them, but they're ok for a game like this. What caught my attention were the glitchy blocks which made the experience unpleasant because they're awful to look at and it's something that could easily be replaced with something else, since they're very distinguishable they could even be simply removed.

Music - Nothing to complain about here, for 1 euro I'd probably rather buy the soundtrack than the game in all honesty.

Gameplay - Well here's the core of the game's problem the mechanics, the gimmicks and the controls itself. The character feels very floppy, which from what I understand was done on purpose. I have no issue with that, I personally loved N++ which utilizes momentum into the gameplay. However this game doesn't utilize it as a fun thing to take care of, and it's simply an inconvenience, and a rather bothersome one at that especially considering some poor in my opinion game design choices. Such as putting damn spikes on the start of a screen which the player is unable to know about, and as soon as he sees them he has no control over the character and simply slides right into them. Then something I'd say was world 3 came around. I was in darkness all I had left of my character were red glowy eyes (visible on game's screens) WHICH DISAPPEARED after a few seconds. Ok I don't understand the concept of making ♥♥♥♥ invisible, it's really annoying and the complete disappearance is just testing my patience, that's where I gave up.

Story - Something that seemed interesting, didn't get a chance to experience it to the utmost due to getting annoyed by the game design. Although I would mention some broken english, I'm not sure if it's something the developer overlooked or it gets worse later, as the first part was pretty well translated but there was a line that went something like this "There are look like spikes".

Options - There are none, the game doesn't run in full hd, it's capped at 60 frames (which is not that much of an issue but still a bummer), controller support ? forget it.

TL;DR Interesting concept that went to waste due to weird game design choices I can't agree with, get the soundtrack if you want to support the game I guess

Refunct is an amazing parkour 3d platformer game, for it's very low price it offers a lot of fun. It is stunning visually and the music playing during your game is amazing either. The game offers a variety of achievements, such as collecting every shiny box, painting the whole world, finishing with low paint% and speedrunning the game.

And the last one is where the controversy comes. Despite the achievements being very easy, and with some strats (or even without) are really doable because the attempts only take about 4 minutes, people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about not being able to unlock them. The developer took the achievements out and put them back in some months later and mentioned unlocking them for people who would ask him in an e-mail.

What the absolute ♥♥♥♥ ? Have you gone mad ?
Achievement is something that you are supposed to ACHIEVE, otherwise what's the point of it ? I absolutely love the game but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the developer needs to grow some balls, otherwise we're gonna start banning everything in games because people will complain. No nudity, no brutality, just happy little clouds and picking flowers in a sundress.

Doesn't support widescreen, upon downloading a mod that takes care of that crashes when loading a save. It's on steam for crying out loud, fix what needs to be fixed.

N is a very tight, movement based platformer game. It offers a huge variety of levels on very different skill levels, varying from a casual experience to hardcore grinds to finish one.

First thing I've noticed after launching the game were modes, you have a standard singleplayer platformer experience, but that's not it. There's also a CO-OP mode and race mode. The co-op mode is self explanatory, you plug another controller in, and play along a friend, the level design in those is pretty good, you often need both players to survive, and even if not they're really helpful to have around. The race mode is a bit weird, and I didn't have the chance to get into it fully at least yet, so there's not much I can say about it, but there's plenty of levels in it too.

The main part though, is definitely the singleplayer experience, where you have 3 tabs full of levels as of now (Ultimate Edition) and also intro levels tab. There are a lot of levels starting At A and ending on E all having 20 episodes consisting of 5 stages each. Then after you finish all those you get to move along to X row which is basically an expert challenge. I personally dislike the idea behind the episodes, as you have to beat all 5 during one playthrough to get the progress done, because when you beat one the level progress doesn't save, and you have to start an episode over, but that's a minor flaw.

The game is also movement based. It takes a while to get used to the "slide-y" movement, but it's actually very tight, and feels good, not being floppy whatsoever. There are coins scattered throughout all the levels, and the ninja collects them to get some more time for finishing the episode, but those can often be skipped without paying much attention to, because there's usually plenty of time. You can also try to collect them all, as it's often fun to go through an alternate route to gather some, and they provide a pretty tough additional challenge, though I suggest going for them after beating an episode, as you can only access a particular level after beating said episode.

The graphics and music fit together very well. The minimalistic artstyle goes along greatly with this soundtrack. The electronic beats make a great "background noise". There are also plenty of themes to play around with, as you unlock them by beating episodes. Only thing I wish was added would be a theme editor, as I don't think it'd be hard to implement and some of the themes are just straight up bad(For example light blue menu with lighter blue text).

To sum it up, there are some things I have issues with, such as boring waiting game levels with tough parts near the end that basically test the limits of your patience, and the episodic nature of the world hub which doesn't allow for easy quitting, but overall, the game is very good, the movement feels amazing, the physics feel very good once you get used to them and the soundtrack is great.

Volume is a great top down stealth game. And that comes from a person that doesn't enjoy playing stealth games, and hates most stealth sections in every game as I've hated bioshock's dlc and beyond good & evil for having them.

The story aspect of this game is pretty insignificant, I didn't get very intrigued by it. It has some collectibles laying on the ground, which interfere with the gameplay a bit, as well as talking sections during the level, which I didn't really like as I've tried to focus on them and just ended up standing in the middle of the level waiting for those sequences to finish.

The graphics are very neat. Pretty minimalistic artstyle showing the simulation's surroundings works very well with a stealth game, removes everything unnecessary and makes things very clear.

The gameplay mechanics were very appealing to me, they were also kept pretty simple but required figuring out the enemies as well as the gadgets. Those gadgets start appering after completing the first few levels, but are added throughout almost the entire game. They make the game really interesting and fun, as you need to figure them out, as well as apply them to get past various kinds of enemies, which all act somewhat differently.

The soundtrack was pretty nice, but I don't remember any of the tracks well, except the chase sequence music, both because I was caught a lot and it was really good and made me feel like a part of something really intense.

Overall, this game was a very good experience for me, and even though I didn't really enjoy the story, I've decided to go as far as collecting all the notes and 100% the game. Amazing stealth top down game, would recommend to any stealth game fans, and even people who don't enjoy them, same as me to at least give it a try.
