Not sure whether the Director's cut was really worth it, but it gave me a reason to replay Death Stranding, so I can't really complain about that.

I played this with my Steam Controller and the gyro has never felt so good. It's a very cute game and I got a kick out of it!

it's more Half Life and what more could you possibly want?!?

it's wacky and a bit outdated, but it somehow is still better than modern so-called "Triple-A" titles and runs like a breeze on any machine

How the HELL does this game still receive updates? This truly is a labor of love...

It has fundamental flaws that make it very hard to recommend to hard core shooter fans:

1) The games are too short, hence the game-to-loading-screen ratio is waaay too low. I spend more time in a loading screen than in the game.
2) Guns are poorly balanced where you need to spray half your magazine onto an enemy, even with headshots.
3) The movement is too slow for an Arena shooter; it feels sluggish and off. The jetpack, while it is a good idea, is sort of a bandaid over the small movement to reach over bigger gaps.
4) Melee combat with the bat or the ball is overpowered as it sucks you towards the opponent.
5) The only gamemodes that are balanced fairly are Instagib and SWAT-Deathmatch.
6) Death timers are too high for an arena shooter and a loop of respawning and being killed after 1-2s is really frustrating in the long term.

The game has massive physics problems which completely ruins the atmoshpere for me. It is clunky and a terrible PC port and has aged even worse.

it's a great and absurd experience that is fun for kids and drunk adults

Unfortunately it has small freezes for me which are always killing my combos - maybe you have more luck since it's a great game! Cannot recommend it though with these freezes.
