With a three or four man crew the game can be fun, bugs aside, when you can actually play. The requirement to always be online defeats any point to trying to play the game by yourself.

Stealth is possible, but the detection distances are buggy, unreliable and some things just don't make logical sense. Combat is not pleasant due to the way it has been developed. The weapons simply don't do enough damage, period. It should not take 5-10 rifle rounds to the face to kill a responding SWAT guy on Normal. The return to the bars for weapon stats, unlike the numbers they used after an update to PD2 is just stupid.

Requiring the chasing of the challenges to progress in Infamy is bad. Just let us earn infamy from playing the heists like it was in Payday 2, scaled to difficulty. Chasing some of those challenges are outright stupid since you have to play with weapons that are a terrible fit for a given mission.

We should start with full ammo. Medic/Ammo/Armor bags should refill to 100%, not the partial fills you get now.

There are numerous QoL improvements that PD2 received over it's lifetime that should have been integrated into PD3 from the beginning, yet are now missing. Ability to rename skill loadouts, gun loadouts, simply being able to go from Ready to Not Ready in the lobby.

Scaling distance in particular is terrible. 1m in game is basically touching the NPCs instead of just being near them.

The list goes on... Hopefully Starbreeze improves this so reviews can be updated later to reflect the progress made.

Following the introduction of microtransaction and the continual parade of mediocre DLCs by the developers the game is no longer worthy of a recommendation. It used to be a lot of fun with a regular foursome but a Pay-To-Win model with stat altering skins from the microtransactions has relegated the game to the scrap pile of old titles I bought on Steam but quit playing.
