This game is the largest case of "One More Turn" syndrome since Civilization.
Careful - games are longer than you might expect.

Edit: PSN Account linking requirement has been removed - will keep this up to see what happens with the country restriction and edit when that becomes clear.

With the new enforcement for creating a PSN account this does 2 things:
1. Says "Give your personal info to Sony or no more game for you". I don't like games on Steam requiring third-party accounts, not cool, however if the game is good that could be (maybe) overlooked. But...
2. This effectively locks any users that live in countries that do not have PlayStation network in their country from playing the game. This includes the Baltic States. So now it's GeoLocked.

Doing this after months of the game being active also disallows users from refunding the game on Steam, as the 2hr/2week deadlines have passed. I take this is a move by the publisher, not the devs - regardless: IT IS A ***HOLE MOVE.
Shame too, game was pretty good.

I've played No Man's Sky and it runs mostly ok on my pc. I'm running an AMD FX9370, R9 280X, 16 Gigs of ram, off an SSD, win7. Have yet to have a crash or problems that would cause the game to be unplayable. There is mild stuttering time to time, but other than that I find it runs better than expected on my setup. I've encountered some bugs as: falling out of the world and not being able to alt+tab back into the game after tabbing out (no visual). As for the gameplay it reminds me somewhat of a mix of X2:the threat and the final levels of spore, however it lacks almost any depth to the commerce system, which is almost everywhere. The game is primary an exploration game and that's the its strongest point, if somebody isn't really interested in that, then what it has to offer will seem lacking. It's not a bad game (though some issues really need to be addressed). If you really want a big exploration game, then I think it's mostly worth it and it has some amazing landscapes to look at, but it would probably be smart to wait for a patch that would fix the problems people seem to be having and perhaps a sale.
