If you like games that make no sense whatsoever and have GameFAQs up on a second monitor to figure out what the hell you're supposed to do, then by all means pick up this game. I never beat this in the 90s and I'm not going to beat it now.

Amazing game. Only about 2 hours long but worth every moment.

Probably the best VR experience to date. Game can be a bit slow in spots, but strap on a VR headset and grab a HOTAS and you're in for a treat.

This game has come a long way from release so I'm updating my review. It's pretty good now. Space combat is still annoying, it's certainly not as good as any other space game you can find. It's really hard to do anything in VR, but it's pretty cool anyhow. Everything else is pretty great, exploration, crafting, bases, etc.

Pros:
Floationg in space is neat, graphics are good

Cons:
There's really no game here, it's mostly an on-rails floating simulator. You have to fix 4 computers to get the escape pod to work so you can go back to Earth. I'm still not even sure how the space station blew up, and at this point I don't really care.

If you have a VR headset it's probably worth $10, it's certainly not worth $20.

GOTY 2015

This game is a blast. Easy enough to pick up and play right off the bat but enough depth to keep you busy for a long time - this game rewards skill and teamwork. There are no powerups or optimal gear loadouts - you get a car with a rocket on it and you hit the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ball into the goal, the rest is up to you.

This game is amazing. Open world, base-raiding, donkey-stealing, poop-sounding amazingness. PC port is top notch, I've never dipped below 60fps at 1920x1080 with max everything on my almost 3 year old rig. Gameplay is solid (snake) and super tight with a keyboard and mouse. Probably in the top 5 games I've ever played, at this point I'm 46+ hours in and I've only completed 37% of the game. It's a shame Kojima left Konami, I'd love to see what else he could add to this.

GOTY. What year? Every year.

Pain in the ass to get working. Need command line arguments, GFWL, SecureROM, turn off nVidia surround. Still can't save my game because it uses the wonderful GFWL system. Sorry cousin, but you should probably get Saint's Row 3/4 instead.
