For managed Democracy we completed our most Major Order yet!

Very addicting. I find myself enjoying this game so much that the day flew by while playing this game.
This ROGUELIKE game ticks the boxes for being very challenging that the JOURNEY to the end is what's FUN.
To the weak-hearted leaving negative reviews because it's too difficult...

Finished the game and I HIGHLY recommend it because its been the best single player experience I've ever had in this day and age. The characters are charming and the music is dope. I'm looking forward to replaying this until I 100% it

So after completing this game 100% of all it has to offer, here are my thoughts on the game as is.
I'll start with the TL;DR review...
PROs:
- Visuals and effects are excellent and nicely crafted
- Remastered soundtrack is wonderful to listen to. (Especially with certain boss fights)
- The auto-battle feature is a godsend for grinding while progressing
- The minimap feature saved me so much time while going thru dungeons/locations looking for treasure
- The overworld map with key locations telling you how many chests/items you've collected/have left is perfect for the completionists out there

CONs:
- Screen tearing is a constant issue
- God-awful font choice that I had to fix (thank you internet)
- Config settings don't properly save/carry over when you boot up the game again.
- Bestiary can only be accessed from the title screen and not in-game (For completionists, this is annoying)
- No bonus content from previous remakes (though it wasn't an issue for me I feel like you have to be aware of this)

TL;DR: 8/10. Some issues could be fixed on the technical side. But on the gameplay side, if you want an experience closer to the original game but updated graphically, it's fun and honestly a nicely made remaster.

----More of my thoughts----
This game felt shorter than I remember it being. I think it could be because I already played it and I knew where I was going, or the game had enough enemy encounters to make it easier to go thru the game without having to stop and grind out levels.
One major gripe I had going thru the game tho... WHY WERE THERE SO MANY CHESTS THAT HAD MONSTERS IN THEM!?

On another note, I know that there are people, and I can respect their opinions, who wished that this remaster had the bonus content that appeared in the GBA version and the anniversary version, but for me personally I don't really mind that this remaster chose to stay closer to the original instead of updating the remakes in terms of content.

Other than that, if you're a sucker for pixel style that's closer to GBA style than the anniversary style like I am, I recommend this remaster wholeheartedly if you're planning on going back thru the FF series or if you're just starting out.

The gregorian monk chanting made me flash back to my early xbox days, slumdog millionaire style. 10/10 i'm crying in the club rn

Look I'm fine with my character being randomly generated... but c'mon guys let hair growth be a thing. I'm tired of having to play bald characters.

It's an interesting game. When you start out you have to climb an immediate steep learning curve. There's going to be a lot about this game that you don't know about, yet it's still enjoyable. There's going to be a lot of failed attempts but with each life, you pick up something new and it's a refreshing experience.

An addicting game no lie. It's very fun and can definitely eat up hours of your time before you know it.
The rare characters you meet in this game can be very interesting to come across and the events that happen can tip the scales in your favor or not.

It truly is an interesting experience with every new run you make.

Oh and you can also create your own characters as well, which is great for making your friends, family, or just nonsense characters join you on your deadly road trip to Canada.

It's a great game to play and I highly recommend it.

Great story. Amazing music. Fun gameplay. All around A+ game in general. You cannot be disappointed. Would wipe my memory to experience this game again for the first time.
