An amazing game.

Fantastic graphics, a really unsettling setting (and mechanics, once it kicks in), and some really really brain-twisting puzzles.

Highly recommended!

Here's the case file after I finished the game. If this doesn't get you to buy it, I don't know what will...

A case of crossed wires

15 dead. 26 injured. 20 jobs. $13,000. I've had better weeks.

They don't let me name names on this blog, but the person behind the hit I was investigating is dead now.

In fact, I may have killed more people than I actually avenged here.

The trigger man's going down. That would have felt good if I hadn't just taken a seven story body slam.

I don't know.

I guess I picked the least ♥♥♥♥♥♥ of two incredibly ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sides.

Maybe that doesn't matter. Maybe all that matters is that I now have the ability to kick down doors.

Either way, I need a drink.

A good turn-based game has that "I'll just play one more turn... whops, it's 3 in the morning, how did that happen?" effect. This one can definitely do that.

That said, don't go in expecting a good story.

I'm at a loss for words here. The game twists reality in so many crazy ways, I couldn't stop myself from trying to explore every bit of this crazy world.

And the puzzless... As an avid adventure gamer, I was thrilled to see puzzles which make sense - and on more than one occasion the biggest challenge was overcoming some preconcieved notions I leared in other games. This was awesome!

What a bitter-sweet game.

It has that "just one more sector" feeling, and then you fail. >_<'

Just a few more turns, and I'll write a recommendation...

Dammit, it's already 2 in the morning?! O.o

There's something odd about this game.

I know I'm playing a video game. I recognize the mechanics behind it, the cheap punches it throws in my face. There's a part of me screaming at me "this game is just trying to make you feel bad using cheap tricks".

And you know what? It still works. I still feel like s*** afterwards.

I guess this is a recommendation then. You won't find this kind of "crazy" in any spunkgargleweewee (thank you Yahtzee) - think Black Ops 2, if you don't know the phrase - and it's a kind of crazy you ought to see.

A brain fever materialized as a game. And I say this with the highest praise possible.

I can't believe I just spent 30 minutes doing the same level over and over again while I should have gone to bed an hour ago! o.O

This game is digital cocaine apparently.

Ahh, something not quite familiar.

Aside from the voice-over, which is really bland and without emotion (Possibly to let the player fill in the blanks themselves? Probably not...), the gameplay reminds me of the old pre-rendered first-person adventure games like Myst. The unique photo-like effect of moving around has... well, there's something that catches me.

Also, it's worth mentioning that with nothing but a camera and an idea the developers have managed to create an interesting, eerie world.
