There is a steep initial learning curve, but you achieve mastery through knowledge, as true wizards do. Each death and each run teaches you something. I love how the wand crafting mechanics allow you to design your own weapons. Highly recommended.

I've enjoyed both the nudge to learn Javascript programming and the idle-game. You can choose what parts you like best and focus on those.
