For me, it is 21st Century Mario as a means of casual playing. You never get bored, you can always count on jumping into the game and relax.

It has problems, but it is developing. Im enjoying it most of the time. The patches and the final release will determine the fate of this review. For now, I do recommend.

PROS:
*Gameplay is really good, it makes you feel that you are in the game. You have the control over character, which is for me, is one of the essential elements in MOBA games.
*Character designs, their voice actings (It deserves a special applaud), their background stories are all well done.
*Champions' skills and difficulty are balanced (with some slight exceptions)

CONS:
*Unfortunately matchmaking system is really problematic. You are forced to match with people with at least 500 Wins whereas you only got 20. There is nearly no balance in matchmaking, either you easily win or you easily lose.
*The community population density is decreasing, It feels like there will be 20-30 people left, playing the game in near future.
*New heroes (maybe as a means of advertising) come quite unbalanced and buffed. It takes time to see them get debuffed.

Last comment: I would suggest you to play the game to make your own comment. It is free in the end and it deserves a try. Who knows, maybe you would get engaged with the game so much that the cons would not matter to you.

Scenario becomes monotonous and predictable. Moreover, gameplay does not compensate the feeling of lacking something in the essence of the game. It is all good for 4-5 hours If you are particularly interested in mythologies and mythical creatures. But unfortunately, that's all I can say.

Never getting old, a nostalgia that embraces "the fun" element.

I don't think that ranked matchmaking system is fair. One needs to remember that this game is about teamplay but if you are always given teammates whose skills are no match for the enemy team, it starts to be problematic.

Another issue is that no matter how good you play if "your team" loses, you lose -25 points anyway, so you are never rewarded for your trying and hard-work. Apart from these, I think Dota2 is a good platform for moba gaming yet competitive system is not mature, after all these hours I invested to this game, I quit. I could no longer feel happy, it was replaced with stress and games are supposed to be for fun.

Would I recommend this game? No, the time is valuable and in my opinion Dota2 can't compensate the value of it. (I know I spent many hours, thats why I am giving this advise)
