If you are an asian, aviod this game. Devs had failed to contain racist and discrimination based on nationalities.
Offensive languages as well as sexism is NOT faced with consequences.

Bigger clans will always bully smaller ones due to the mechanism of the game. So unless u hv a friend list with more than 40 names playing this game, prepared to see your creation and hardwork getting demolished to dust again and again.

Since many reviews from others have already mentioned quite a lot about the awesome gameplay. I figured maybe I will have a slightly different focus in mine:

NPCs in the game are kind to say sorry and thanks all the time. (unless you give them what they hate... of coz)
The developer of the game is kind to address problems from players personally.
Even the community is so kind to engage in "pay it forward" for those who can't offer to buy the game.

And to me, such lovely positive energy itself is already priceless.

This game would be an impeccably-shaped gem in the modern history of RTS if Gearbox:
1. Fix the mod support
2. Fix the formation
3. Fix any remaining bugs and glitches
4. Add an option for us to change back to HW1's control and mission config so we can once again re-experiencing our childhood CORRECTLY in HD graphics.

Still a good purchase regardlessly

Day 1XX: Still waiting for Cataclysm

Early access done in the right way.

Counter-Strike 2 stems further away from what Counter-Strike as a series felt to me.

With the focus on Competitive gamemodes, the series felt more distanced to me than ever as I grow older. The game which we play goofy maps and gamemodes with friends back in high school seems to be no more.

Whilst I understand it is more profitable to have push the game's competitive scene and heavier skin monetisation, it does sadden me to see that the series that I once spent hours playing silly modes on might forever be a distanced past.

The shear toxicity in competitive mode can make it you wonder if the game is worth spending your precious downtime on.

No airstrike, no ac-130, no 360 no scope, no jumping ak, no HP bar.
One shot(or two, depends on the ammo and the gun) is all it takes to take u down.

Aim w/ sights, take cover, work with your team
Otherwise ur death is probably only secs away.

Bought this just to support the developer.

Realized it offers more features than most of the other games' dlcs.

Failed to play with friends. Game does not progress on my end after my friend moved. So we quit the game.

Now I've got two "new turns waiting" notifications stuck eternally in my Steam.

Very bad chess game, absolutely horrible. Stay away at all cost.

A classicy piece based on the golden formula of RTS w/ balanced factions, modern graphics, awesome satellite view, etc. Fun to play. And as many reviews said, it bears similarities to C&C generals.

However, shallow singleplayer campaign and annoying resources system is its major downside.

Generally speaking, AoA is an RTS heavily relying on its multiplayer. But still needs a couple of enhancement/tweaks before it can surpass C&C generals in terms of gameplay.(Naval battle plz) I personally hope more content will be added in the future through updates.

Recommended buying it only when it's on sale/during free weekends.

UPDATED: Eugen is kind enough to give it a reboot based on players' reviews. Haven't play it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
