The Marauder (♥♥♥♥ 'im)

Combat is beautifully animated and you have a fun arsenal of attacks and combos. Main downside is the lack of enemy variety, which makes some encounters fairly same-y.

World design is top tier.

Story is good, but is a little overhyped in my opinion. There are cool moments & it's a fun journey but it's a slow burner, so don't go in expecting the best narrative you've ever experienced

Both main game and DLC introduce new and interesting ideas constantly & link together perfectly. The game stays engaging all the way through despite the gameplay not evolving much by telling an increasingly disturbing story.

Chris Walker is a Sith Lord.

Best combat in any game, ever. The posture system & parrying work amazingly, and is a much better take on a fight than endlessly hacking away at an enemy with a stupid health pool.

All bosses are challenging, but don't feel as unfair as other soulslike/fromsoft games do even when you're getting your ass beat.

Massive improvement on the first game. Bosses are fun fights with unique mechanics, the movement also feels much nicer. Abilites are implemented much better in this game as well, they all have practical uses. Combat is much more intuitive having a dedicated block / parry button. Gore is much more visible in this game as well.

Visually this game is extremely good as well, most levels feel fresh & all have unique features.

Story is fine, but there's a lot of weird lines & quips dotted throughout that make the characters (some more than others) off-putting.

The Motorbike sections are mostly fine & the rest of the game's mechanics work nicely with it but there are a lot of times where the vehicle gets stuck & the only way to get it unstuck is to load a checkpoint. Not too big of a deal since checkpoints are frequent and respawns are quick, but can be frustrating.

Final level is amazing purely due to one particular mechanic the game introduces that I won't spoil

Combat is a cool mix of Arkham / Sekiro

Unlockables attacks & combos all very fun

Aging when you die & trying to beat the game at young age is cool

Levels all unique & fun

Bosses are very very good

Controls felt weird to me initially but didn't take long to get used to

It's just mortal kombat

Interesting way to reboot without actually doing a reboot, characters changing in ways that make sense

New characters are mostly good (♥♥♥♥ reiko)

Johnny more annoying than prev games in cutscenes, too many stupid one liners

Story is ok, not as good as MK9 / MKX, better than 11

Cool idea, but you spend next to no time in combat (what should be the most fun part). Gameplay loop consists of 50% running between fetch quests, 40% listening to people waffle, 10% hitting zombies with a pipe until it breaks after 4 hits and you go back to running.

Story seems cool but I can't stomach that much downtime.
