to me felt like dishonored x hotline miami x mirrors edge

+ very satisfying combat, never feels unfair
+ movement feels fluid
+ good enemy variety
+ levels have clear linear path but its very easy to divert away and go where you want given the movement mechanics
+ unique (in a good way) perk system


- bosses too weak, only 1 of them actually feels like a fight
- unlockable abilities don't flow well with the combat, cool ideas but implementation is lacking and I neglected them for most fights

This game has top-tier level design, both in terms of interesting gameplay elements and visual design. It feels truly open; every level you enter is less like a linear pathway to follow and more like a small open-world sandbox.

There is a choice at the beginning that determines the abilities you can unlock throughout the game, so replaying it for 100% completion or just to experience it again never gets stale. The combat itself feels incredibly crisp and satisfying. Additionally, every main objective is very flexible in both setup and execution, just like the first game.

The story and writing are mediocre and at points bad, but not unbearable, and they do not ruin the enjoyment of playing the game.

The PC port is awful and requires an insane amount of tweaking to get acceptably smooth framerates, but it is possible.
