Expected more freedom but this game is very linear. However the story is good enough to appreciate albeit a bit rushed near the end with a little too few epilogue stories of what happened to all the people encountered. Do play if you are just expecting some thing closer to a jrpg but with wuxia setting. Don't play if you want cultivation xianxia fantasy freedom.

Writing felt like at the level of a high school student writing project.
No soul was put into most of the characters; they felt more AI than the actual AI in the story.
Choices were all meaningless and pretty much just the same things rephrased.

This is the best button clicking simulator I've ever played.

The server selection screen offers high quality music score that really sets the mood right while the crisp and delightful button SFX brings the experience to life. The animated slideshow in the background is simply icing on the cake. The font selection is nothing short of a masterpiece either; the lettering of the words drew a heart throbbing desire to click the button even more.

I've only played for about an hour while writing this review and only twice have I experienced the bug of actually getting into the game. Good thing the game auto-corrects this mistake by crashing out and having me to restart into the server selection.

Truly the magnum opus of the button clicking genre, a game ahead of it's time. It is the game only the smartest minds in the world can think of and masterfully create. The game is sadly free to play, meaning you lack a chance to truly thank the developers of this otherworldly experience of button clicking.

Make sure to pray that Zun will never be consumed by capitalism and make a touhou mobage and never make any real games again.
