Welcome to a shooter that, in my opinion, occupies one of the narrowest niches among shooters on the gaming market: a police officer (special forces, military, any other military man) simulator.

At the stage where I was able to feel this game, it offers an online co-op for up to eight people. You can create a game lobby yourself or connect to a ready-made one. For communication and coordination of actions, text and voice chats are provided, which is the necessary minimum.
Since I mentioned the equipment, I note that the game has a fairly wide range of small arms, but to my regret there are few non-lethal weapons and various gadgets. Fans of "Tarkov" will like the variety (I speak as an old Tarkovite).

As for special equipment: if you wish, you can put on a gas mask and throw gas grenades at your opponents (although in my adventures they somehow worked strangely), use non-lethal grenades with balls or a police taser. All this adds variability to the passage of the mission and a realistic feeling of controlling your "operator".
Do not forget that you will have to play for the police, therefore, it is no longer possible to shoot at everything that moves. The main goal is still detention, not liquidation. To someone's possible regret, it will not be fun to run around the level with the AR-15. Here the second feature of different types of tasks is revealed: the rules for the use of force. With the increase in the complexity of the task, and it varies in the game from Normal to Insane, the decision-making period is also reduced, therefore, there may not be time to persuade the criminal to drop his weapon and surrender.

The Ready or Not backlog for the future and the scope for experimentation are inspiring.
As for the main question: to buy or not?
If you have something to play now and you (like me and my comrades) do not spend your every free evening looking for new cooperative games or sluggishly kicking dead projects, then for the moment, the purchase can be postponed. However, it is worth adding to the wishlist. For those who breathe unevenly towards such simulators and share my love for weapons - buy, the game will definitely not disappoint you, however, it will not become a "second job". Content is still missing.

Having fallen for the trick of an advertisement in one of the newspapers, we, along with other people, become victims of one illegal and very terrifying experiment. Now we have to live in a huge secret complex resembling a prison and fight for our lives on the tests available to us, performing a number of tasks on them: for example, start a couple of generators, find the right key inside a human corpse, saw off the legs of a living person with a hand saw, punish children, or run to the specified place. And the game is full of such abominations. Upon completion of all tasks, we will need to leave the test, returning to the initial rescue shuttle, where we will already be rewarded with experience, money, a random prize and coupons that can be obtained for raising the level.

Many locations are overflowing with their cruelty and imbued with fear. We will meet a lot of mutilated corpses, a sea of blood, human organs scattered everywhere and beaten off completely, heartless psychos who want to inflict a couple of serious injuries on us as soon as possible. Some madmen are able to hide in closets, in barrels and in other places to suddenly frighten and injure us, or to shout very loudly, thus detaining us in place and revealing. In some places, you should not trust your partners either, because an impostor may be hiding among them, letting him get to you, you get several stab wounds, not to mention the fact that you can catch a small dose of poison, from which your mind will be clouded and you will begin to see real nightmares.

Each test consists of four levels, where the first two will be interesting, exciting and unknown, and the rest will be the same, but at times more difficult, where even more deadly creatures will hunt us, and the whole map will be filled with the most dangerous traps, thereby increasing the dose of adrenaline. Some doors will be locked tightly, and you will have to break them out with a couple of kicks. Of course, this will create a loud noise, and there will be much less shelters and useful items. In general, with such complexity, The Outlast Trials is revealed to the fullest, but the minus seemed to be in the performance of the same actions and even the presence of programs such as X and the recently added omega does not save it. Although the programs are interestingly implemented, but the enemies and locations are repeated, which is why it starts to bother a lot.

We were very pleased that despite the early access, there are several interesting maniacs in the game who outwardly and with their aggressive nature reveal themselves well, thus showing us that there will be no friendly reception, and we should expect only hellish pain and beatings until death. Medicines, lock picks, syringes for rescuing dead allies and batteries intended for a night vision device will be scattered everywhere, because the locations generally do not shine with good lighting. A brick or a bottle may lie under our feet, which can be distracted or thrown directly at enemies, thus stunning them for a short time. If you are not a fan of the cooperative, then you can safely go through everything alone, which will make it much scarier, but it can also be very boring.

In the prison complex where we are located before and after the trials, everyone will be allocated their own private room, inside which you can change the appearance, voice, profile icon or buy clothes for your character. You can also embellish your room by buying new wallpaper, floors, posters, various decorative pieces and other cosmetic items to make your home seem even more decent and comfortable. As soon as we leave our room, we can sit at any free table and compete with the rest of the players in arm wrestling, read the documents found in the game, or walk around the floors, looking for working staff who will pump us with various prohibited substances for coupons and improve our selected equipment. All these improvements will be able to add a lot to our survivability for further tests.

Result

I was very pleased with the game, getting only pleasure, interest and enjoyment from every test, arm wrestling and atmosphere right from the start, which was able to perfectly convey all this horror in the game. But then you realize that if there is a desire to stay in this game a little longer, then you have to go through and see the same locations, tasks and local psychos several times. At first I thought that this was done exclusively with the initial programs, but when I got to program X and Omega, I was slightly disappointed, because apart from the complexity of the test, everything repeats again. In general, this is only early access and things may change in the future. And, so, it will certainly not be boring with friends and positive emotions for 20-30 hours are guaranteed to you.
