Despite all of Bioshock's merits (the trilogy is a solid 8/10), its cartoonish elements sometimes get in the way of the horror aspects that it was supposed to properly derive from System Shock, seeing that it is its spiritual successor. Prey, on the other hand, hits the ground running and takes no prisoners - from the get go, you're thrusted in a world of menacing alien creatures that can't help but remind you of Half Life. It's rewarding to crack open the story of the space station as you try to uncover the intricacies of what you're doing and how it affects the main story. 9/10 game.
