Despite some rough turmoil with the publisher, Sony, who backed off on their planned actions. Helldivers 2 remains one of the most competent and enjoyable coop shooters of recent times.

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful and tragic games I've ever played- since I finished a week ago it's been so stuck on my mind that I had to just go back in a second time just to 100% it.

I am really not a big fan of classic survival horror gameplay (that's not to say its done poorly, just personal preference), but the sum of its parts more than made up for it, and I'm glad I pushed through.

An easy top 10 for me.

A touching story that I'd wager just about anyone in their early-mid twenties can relate to. Incredibly well written depictions of what it's like to deal with mental health issues like depression.

Phenomenal soundtrack, adorably charming art, and a story you'll fall in love with.

Shareholders stole this game from the original creators so instead of money going to the people responsible for this masterpiece it's just ending up in some investors pockets.

If you've ever liked any sort of Ace Combat - adjacent arcade flight game, give it a shot.
