Good game, short if you know what you're doing [Ex. played up until the current version] Beat it in 10 hours on third character, hope to see where it goes from here. Still get spooked time to time.

I like this game, I want to LOVE this game. It's been a joy for me to play.... when it works.

At first it was an occasional crash here, a little @#$% up there. The more I played and actually tried putting effort in towards tasks I started noticing things. Note: i've only played online.

Free Roam: if I tried spawning in it, about 85% of the time I'd crash. I had to start spawning in my camp.
The camp system: sometimes the servers don't place or update your camp location.
The movement system:
Horses: I've had it where the horse would randomly stop, not to buck but just slow down and dead stop. Then I've had them pull random 360s just out of the blue, sometimes they don't stop unless I take my hands off the controls, and then resume moving.
People: This 360 thing isn't just for horses, sometimes if you step on a bad spot on the map it'll spin you out confused what to do i guess. This isn't a problem cause usually it's in a hard to reach spot. Also, like GTA if the incline is too steep, you fall and slide. Unlike GTA, you can't jump to override this, and spots that seem to even out, still make you fall and slide.

The GPS: sometimes there are small spots, little shortcuts in the rock or something you can find, other times your path outline sends you to a wall 80 feet high where you have to manually check your map.
Down side is it's annoying
upside is, I've been learning to read elevation lines on maps pretty well.

The screw-ups: I'm not sure what's with the devs, whether it's something on their end or if the company is up their butts with timelines, but when you recommend to your players to download a driver that doesn't exist, even as a beta driver? you uh... you might have something wrong. Especially when you could have checked the version prompted before patching it in.

Also from my personal experience, The latest driver seems to have increased crashes. I start crashing every 20-30 minutes at times, and others I crash maybe after 3 hours. Which, sure it could be my rig, but I'm running a 1080, and an I7-9700k, with 32 gb ram. I've got decent ventilation, my fan curves are set, I don't get why it's crashing. I've got no programs that should be conflicting with it either.

Edit: The crashing and the loading into new sessions seems to have fixed for me via disabling v-sync. Though how this screwed with the loading is beyond me.

While it's nice to not have to be denied things from crashing anymore, I've run into the new problem of how they handled guns. I get jumped by cougars alot, and well. It's one thing when I have to fight, it's another when I have to click both right and left click, or try and hit the right button multiple times until my weapon is out, in which the cougar is on its second pounce on me by then and it's an instant kill.

"press a number key" you might say. The thing is, and this might not even be just cause "it's a port", the buttons do too much. if I right click and my horse is still close by? it'll snap to my horse and aim the gun at my horse. move away a few feet? nope, still locks to horse. I'll still play it, because on the off chance I do get to pull out my weapon in time, I have a chance, and it's about 13.8 units of material for cripps trading. I just wish they didn't have it jerk you to your horse, just cause the horse is next to you.

This isn't just for "surprise animal attack" if you're off your horse and it's nearby, it basically effects anything you need to aim for. I'm legitimately wondering how this got past any kind of testing, and will again change my review if I find a work around or they fix it.

Do I recommend the product as a whole? Yes.
Do you need to buy it right now? No. Give it a few patches.
Devs are actively trying to fix things up, as we're already up to 1.05 since launch.

Would not recommend it if it's not on sale.

6 years, 6 flippin years and it's finally here. It's as great as I remember, and I will probably be getting sore thumbs soon.

Cons:

-P2P, imagine MW2 and every host keeps leaving, only put that in darksouls and throwing off the rhythm of combat.
(At one point, it brought me back from the dead, that's how bad it was.)
- I have yet to find a way to adjust controls for xbox controller.
- Found it lacking in response sometimes.
- Tutorial doesn't hardly cover anything except the basics. Expect to read through moveset, and practice parrying in custome match.

- Some of the classes are just so friggin cheesy.
- Like seriously, the dude from the goofy movie, the one who loves that spray cheese? Even he hasn't seen so much cheese here.
- People like to run away and heal, most likely running sprint builds to do so on the light attacking characters.
- More ganks and gang ups than your average league of legends match.
- Synchronizing while you're just now getting the edge.
- oh, getting your butt kicked? synchronizing cause someone left, oh hey you're back, and now you aren't.
- Oh hey we're getting our butts kicked by the AI, better gang up on it and then be a douche and gang up on the poor player that has the AI team mate in 2v2 in the last 2 rounds because our masculinity and ego are threatened.

- Oh no, low on health against an actual good knight? Better run from him, get the last bit of health back, attack, wither, rinse, repeat. I mean I'm only at 1hp each time.
- What do some of these options do
- Boy this game is somewhat quiet, lemme just... oh it's already maxed.
- What are these XBOX controls?!
- Lemme just adjust.... where is the controller's bind changes?
- Kinda wanna say screw it and just go replay darksouls where the controls make a bit more sense for melee and locking.
Pro:
- Addicting game despite flaws
- The armor looks good
- They say they'll give you a bit of painkillers and anestetic so if you do wanna pay the arm and leg for this.
- Hardly feel it when they yank a tooth or 10 out for the DLC from what I hear.

For those of you used to wipeout, go into options and swap the gamepad layout to arcade. This puts strafe on the lb and rb, and makes pitch on the same stick as turn.

Got the season pass, this came with it. At first I didn't even know I had this, but then I saw this came with cages to trap things, A DECONTAMINATION ARC (Gotta save those rad aways, sell the extra for caps mate!), a fusion generator that could power just about everything you need (Requires science 4), and in sanctuary got those nasty spots with nothing to put there? garden plots... make the foundation safe to plant.

I feel like people got this and thought "This isn't worth it!", well if you're doing non modded gameplay it is. Imagine one of those decon arcs at every settlement, inside gardens with turrets behind the door. I mean sure it's settlement stuff, but for 5 bucks considering the variety of stuff you can catch, plus the arc and generator, worth it in my book.

Though if I am honest, kinda wish they put it in with the main game or the automatron dlc, or some kind of unlockable blueprint discovered in the wastes.

If you bought this game from day one, you realized immediatly you wasted your money. not only did the game lag it sucked until 6 months after when they finally patched it. the campaign mode is decent the A.I. is great, but when you get on multiplayer, unless you have friends to play with, and i mean 3 other friends, not just the one, you get just random people who can't do anything or sometimes don't even speak a lick of english. NOT ONLY THAT, but the chat system is sub par, the game will not let you edit your settings mid game, only from main menu, you can't swap weapons in game, which i would understand if you couldn't use gun smithing but you would think they would allow presets, but no. the communication with the spot button is ♥♥♥♥, only allowing to communicate an enemy if you have it dead on them and they are visible, or your able to tell your team verbally. though this doesn't hinder you being able to toss out a sensor ball, but they can destroy those if you place them wrong. the cover system, kinda ♥♥♥♥, if you wanna use your sights on an enemy behind you you are going to end up standing up from cover, if you wanna rush to a specific cover you could use the quick shift, but sometimes it doesn't let you go where you wan't. not only that but it is difficult as all hell to pull yourself out of that cover and it really restricts your reaction time to enemies flanking you. i could go on but all i can say is, if you want it for the single player, go for it, multiplayer though? dude, theres a free ghost recon game thats better than this, not as many gadgets mind you but the cover system and movement, and all round communication as a team is better. [BONUS TIP: the ingame, does not have a chat button, only mic's, so if your wondering why your team is sitting behind spawn sniping instead of helping with objectives, better get a mic and possibly learn russian]

this game is still well in the works but fun as hell, best played with a group of friends but if you buy it do expect the occasional @#$@$%$ to kill you, as some players will kill you for fun, not that it isn't but its best you store your good weapons and find spares.
