EDIT4: Issues seem to have been fixed. During the last ~10h I've had no more save issues, game runs smooth, a single crash and the game has been all around enjoyable. My first impressions of the non-performance related stuff was correct. The game is really fun. Now I can recommend this.

EDIT3: Fixed the previous by reinstalling the game. Then it happened again. Basically if I quit the game (the latest "quit" was a crash) I can no longer load a save.

EDIT2: Save load crash thing happened again and now driver clean reinstall doesn't help. What is going on? aaaaaargh...

A clean reinstall of nvidia drivers seems to have fixed the dead save for some reason. Okay, I can continue playing which is nice but eh...
What I did: Downloaded Nvidia drivers from their web page.
Installed using custom installation and chose the clean install check box.

Shortly the game is great and I would love to play it. It runs pretty ok on everything maxed. Fps around 45-60. Random dropped frames but completely playable.

Around 9 hour mark the game corrupted my save. Every time I try to load it the game crashes in the loading screen. Naturally the devs have made the absolutely idiotic decision to use a single save slot so I can't load an earlier save as there is none. I have no interest in restarting the game at this point. I have checked that I have the newest nvidia drivers, verified game data integrity, restarted my pc, cleared ea launcher and windows direct x caches, tried launching the game through steam and ea launchers. Nothing helps. Every time I try to load the save the game crashes. Starting a new game works just fine so I would say it is the save file. Asked for a refund. Why the hell can't the game just have multiple saves for each slot. Such a simple way to fix this issue but no.

Great game, lots of replayability with the S ranks.
Would have been nice if this had more costumes you could unlock.
Something like a costume per S rank.
S+ for no store items S runs with even more costumes would also have been appreciated.

Now if we could just get RE1 and RE4 in this same remake style with all of those sweet sweet costumes and S+ stuff...
