Much more refined than an Ender Lillies or Hollow Knight, but very comparable. To be honest, I prefer the previously aforementioned games, but for reasons other than the game play. The game play is more smooth (in my opinion) and the world is presented beautifully. Every environment you confront is carefully crafted, giving you new puzzles. It fits in the metroidvania-verse perfectly, gameplay, cinematics, etc. That said, (so far) doesn't have that extra UMPH (hopelessness) that I loved from from the stories of Ender Lillies and Hollow Knight. Can't rate this game less than an 8-9/10.

I really loved this game. For a "RPG maker" style game it is, "IMO," deep and contains a lot of content. The music is fantastic, the story is very good. An area that it doesn't shine like a diamond in is that it doesn't push the exploration aspect. This game gives you a world to explore, but you don't know why you need to explore it, which makes it less desirable to explore. To get the most of Omori, you need to explore the world that is presented to you without that expectation. It will be there eventually, but it isnt obvious. It will make you love the world the game designer has created as well as the atmosphere they intended on the player to experience so much greater.

I loved this game. From the music to the various story lines, it was so perfectly crafted. Much of my experience came from playing the PS4 version, but I also bought the PC version because of how much fun it was. The game was very easy to pick up and play through, but had hidden complexities that always compelled me to come back for more. I highly recommend this game for any rpg fan.
