"EVERLASTING SUMMER" (by Soviet Games) is the BEST grahic novel I have EVER read / played! Plain and simple.
It has it all. A fantastic plot (espeially for a free game), great in-depth characters, thought-provoking ideas and subtexts about what it means to be alíve, how to live and the nature of love and life itself. Added in are interesting, compelling ideas of possible time travels, parallel universes, time it self and how our choices and perceptions shape our reality. This may all sound a little "heavy" or even boring to some, but believe me: there is PLENTY OF FUN, lots of romance - and just the right amount of teenage love (and sex - though this is NO sex game at all! ) This is an adventure! It has a few heated momets but thats all, and it is better for it. More is less. But still in this there is SO much fun to be had!
It is also very well made and very humoursly written, believe me - if you are anything like me (including, preferably a man) you WILL find more fun and games than you ever thought possible in the fictious 1980s "Young Pioneer summer camp" Called "OWLET". You will not regret giving "Everlasting Summer" a go. And it will take you more than one single summer to find out what exactly is going on here....!
For all is not as it seems. Apearances can be deceptive and hide hidden depths of both fun and fright, just like Russian teenage girl scouts / pioneers!
Enjoy. Don't miss this hidden (free) gem of a game / visual novel - where your choices make ALL the difference!

If you're a Blood Bowl fan, don't hesitate. This is by far teh best BB game made since the original board game. Blood Bowl 2 is NOT just another PC game version of the classic board game. Many things like graphics and gameplay has been vastly improved. Most importantly the game NOW has a good league system, which makes it possible for you to play with thousands of other people from around the world in a league where you gradually upgrade your team. It is off course also possible to start your own little league with your friends and/or just okay a single "friendly match".
The tutorial is rather brief and the camera may be a bit annoying at times, but otherwise this is the game for any real Blood Bowl fan. The game itself has a decent amount of team to choose from, and if you're looking for something a bit more exotic like wood elves, chaos dwarfs, lizardmen or nurgle, they are avaiable as afordable DLCs.

To make a long story short: "Sleeping Dogs" (SD) is so-called SANDBOX game (a la "Grand Theft Auto" or "Mafia" + numerous others). Many of the game aspects are the ususal to the genre, although it has individual characteristics, e.g. there is a lot more hand to hand unarmed fighting in "SD" than most such. After completing the game (which took me 88 hours in all), I stand amazed with "SD". It is BEST GAME I've played in a looong time.
The Plot: You play undercover cop Wei Shen. In Hong Kong Police. The fact that the game isn't set in some fictive American town is refreshing in itself. Wei has a grudge against the Hong Kong Mafia, and although it is questioned if he is the right man for the job, he is placed under DEEP undercover - only three others in the police knows his true background! Wei has spent the last many years in the US, in the LAPD. But is a native of Hong Kong, and is introduced into the minor street gang Water Street Gang by the naive underdog Jackie, and taken in by the gang boss Winston Chu.
The Gameplay: While you gain the trust of the thugs (who are rather suspious at first), you move up in the Hong Kong Mafia Hierachi, all the while you fight (mostly unarmed, guns only appear in the latter part of the game), drive all sorts of veichles in high speed pursuits (at one time chasing a stolen weeding cake!) and in illegal races round the streets, drive speed boats, do big and small "missions" for the gang + a large number of optional "favours" which helps you gain "face", i.e. access to faster cars, buy new clothes and even new furniture for your apartment. All the while keeping yourself going by sleeping enough, eating right and downing a lot of energy drinks.
The game has MANY new and innovative twists and turns, and all the while you also got to help the police solve crimes including serial murder and kidnapping!
But who will you really be true to in the end? The law and your job as a cop (finding the HKPD more and more suspious) or your "family" in Mafia underworld?

Even though "Sleeping Dogs" does not introduce anything REALLY new to the genre, it is a good twist to the story that you r NOT just a criminal, but "prentend to be" undercover cop. The story is above average and the graphics are mindblowing.

I rate this game 9 of 10 possible points! Hightly recommended!
