Sometimes I ask myself if mining is all there is to life. Then I punch myself.

Just finished a multiplayer game. This game has a lot of potential, but it there were some very frustrating issues. My main comments:
- After a certain number of turns, the game starts crashing every turn and becomes unplayable (this happened on a computer with 8GB RAM and a solid graphics card)
- Starting positions aren't balanced (e.g. depending on how lucky you are (?) you can get lots of high level planets in your immediate neighbourhood OR you can spend many turns exploring and find nothing but dead planets -- this can make quite a lot of difference in the long term)
- No collaborative multiplayer (i.e.if you're allied with another player, there's no way to achieve a victory together like in CIV games, instead, if one of you achieves a victory condition, that player wins and the other one loses -- even if you're on the same team and allied the entire game) -- if this is the case, then the game shouldn't even let you create teams as they are pointless

There are a lot of negative reviews for this game and I feel like it's undeserved. To me, the it's exactly what I hoped it would be. A game worthy of the name Civilization, but different enough from the other Civ games to entertain and make me want to explore it. Recommended.
