One of the worst games I've ever played.

I should probably start with saying that I played it on hard difficulty with a partner.

We genuinely tried to play through it with a friend, but it only gets worse as you go further into the game.

Terrible game design. Progression is meaningless because enemies scale to your equipment level anyway. Traits are weak and take 20 levels just to max one out, even if you get them relatively quick.

Most boss fights are awful. Bosses themselves are too easy to deal with, except they flood the arenas with millions of trash mobs in almost every fight, which makes things more annoying than challenging. And some bosses have bad design, plain and simple.

Weapons in the game are... nothing special. Some are okay, others are just not effective enough to justify using them. And you can't get many of them simply because certain bosses didn't spawn in your world/playthrough. So you must find them elsewhere or reroll the world if you want to get something specific.

I don't really have anything good to say about the game. It's difficult to understand why this game has so many positive reviews. The visuals are alright. But everything else is... mediocre. Enemy/boss designs aren't that good, some enemies from different worlds share the same attack patterns/animations, the story is just there.

Almost everything is forgettable. Except for the awful gameplay that feels super outdated.

I can't recommend this game.
