This game manages to make me rage to the point where I want to destroy my entire setup but somehow also manages to make me love the story and the gameplay of the Hotline Miami 2. Idk if it's Stockholm syndrome or just insanity, but when i finished the game, I actually felt satisfied. This game does crazy things to your mental state.

Most people who queue randoms in this game are cheaters or exploiters. I've had this game for less than 3 hours and I've already come across multiple people using aimbot and one person who had the card "tin man" (which is supposed to disable within 6 seconds at max level) remain indefinitely for the rest of the round. It's a shame that people will cheat at any game they can, even if it is just an indie game like this. Would recommend if playing with only friends but if playing public matches, there's a 90% chance you'll get put against either a cheater or someone using the most OP Cards in the game, which a new player has no chance of countering. Balance is clearly not something that was thought of when designing this game

Was fun until I lost several rounds because the dealer wouldn't deal the one card i needed to win on multiple occasions

I know I'm in the vast minority when I say this but for some reason this game felt like a letdown to me. I have absolutely no clue what my expectations were for the game but it just feels like a cheap ripoff of the original. I felt like the story was worse, the ending was unsatisfying, and it failed to capture what made the first game so great. I don't know if i'm blinded by nostalgia or what but i'm about to replay the first game to see if my claims are justified or not.

Edit: This review was made when the game first launched. This game is terrible, the skins make me want to jump off a cliff, and the gameplay is comparable to stubbing your toe. This game is so catered to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ players it's not even funny. The money you could've spent on this game should go anywhere else and you'll get more value out of it. BF2042 is hailed as one of the most disappointing games of all time but this game is somehow worse
