MV is love, MV is life. The side-view character generator is top notch, and the larger resolution for all sprites is amazing. There's already a bunch of scripts available so there's no reason to not switch from Ace.

I paid full price for this and recommend it. If you use default characters it's great (I don't), but even then, it's worth it just for the music collection. Unlike some of the stock music in MV, the ones in here are almost all quite good. You're paying about a dollar a song as well, which is totally worth it in my opinion.

Creative. Fun. Good for gamers who like rogue-likes and stategy games, but not in a hardcore I put 1000 hours in Civ5 kind of way. The combination of gameplay are each fairly superficial, but the end product is a rewarding experience. Also, it's got a fairly steep learning curve. A good start, but needs balancing (some heroes are better than others, some mods are fairly useless) and more content. A game this simple should be easy to expand on, so I'm hoping it turns into something brilliant.

Pros: It looks good, the world is beautiful, the characters are well voiced, starts off strong

Cons: It's buggy (as in, I had to restart from checkpoints multiple times), the character's stories are dull (the girl is little more than a damsel in distress and whines in your ear for several chapters), the combat is repetative and quickly becomes a slog-fest to get through, and the combat can be stupidly difficult when you get stuck on invisible terrain or your attacks that clearly hit an enemy do not register or the camera decides to make you look at a wall while being attacked by three enemies, and there's almost no exploration on the map, it's extreamly linear for a platformer.

I loved Torchlight 1, and Torchlight 2 is everything and more. Much more. I have been an involved modder in both games, tweaking and adding content to make this amazing game even more enjoyable. I've put hundreds of hours into both games, and attempt to get every friend I have into this game. All in all, TL2 is the best dungeon crawler action RPG until TL3 comes out!
