Bought because cat and liked because is fun!

I love the mechanics and game design of this game, easy to grasp but hard to master. The possibility that you can go multiple paths throughout the world is awesome, makes the game non-linear and more enjoyable. But maybe frustrating for casual players, because you could enter areas with strong enemies that you can't beat easily at certain points of the game. The posture system and the different types of attacks compels you to take action opposing the generic mechanic of one button defend everything. Stealth gameplay style is satisfying, you can't do that in every part of the game and if you do requires time to analyse the scenario. Strong enemies/boss requires analysis too, because you can't just spam left-click attack or else the enemy will probably defend your combo and you going to receive a heavily blow or a perilous attack.

Too repetitive, requires excessive amount of time to complete simple quests.

I would love to write a positive review but it doesn't have all in-game soundtracks.

Pros

• Entertaining combat system.

• You learn a lot about society behavior, events, places, work and much more.

• Amazing graphics, engaging narrative and good soundtracks.

• Innovative elements ingame, like every type of combat, instructional reading how things work and miscellanous rpg aspect as quantity of equipments that can be used.

• Attention to a lot of historical details.

• Minigames are really enjoyable, like dice, bow or fighting competition. (Although you probably will get bored after some plays.)

Cons

• Unsynchronized sounds with animations by a significant time. ( The hit sound triggers while the trebuchet stone still at middle air.)

• A lot of bugs, sometimes can even ruin gameplay and immersion.

• Riding a horse in the forest can be frustrating.

• Anticlimatic ending.

Even though it has a lot of problems, it is a game you MUST play, because of the unique style, certainly you going to have a new gameplay experience with KCD. What I most liked in this game is the freedom to do entertaining random stuff and when doing the main quest the innovative combat system and amazing story keep me engaged. KCD remeber me a lot of Skyrim, most likely if you had fun with Skyrim you will have with this game.
