This game pretty good.

This game is absolutely incredible. It has a ways to go, but already offers the best SWAT experience out there. If you enjoy tactical shooters, then this is a must grab.

Cyberpunk 2077 was overhyped. Here's a quick synopsis on many parts of the game.

The Story
The story is very good. Every part of the way along I was captivated by it. Even all of the 5 endings are incredible to play through. Each is different and emotionally provoking throughout. I've never played a more immersive and emotional game. Characters develop differently, and each main/side character change as the story progresses.

The Gunplay
Many comment how the gunplay is bad, something out of a cheap shooter. I'd have to agree to an extent. There are a decent number of guns, and each feels different, although that can mostly be attributed to the different firerates. The enemies are NOT spongy. In the beginning they will feel more so, but as you progress a little into the story, you eventually will land upon a build that suits you well.

Balancing
Combat balancing is not the best. Some metas have already emerged that can completely break the game. Many weapon types are completely unutilized, while both tech and power weapons are almost solely used.

Skills
Cyberpunk 2077 has an excellent skill system. People may complain that a bunch add x percent to a certain stat or value, but it works quite well. Not having every skill be a different ability or something of the sort is good, it keeps the game a bit simpler and easier to manage.

Customization
This is where Cyberpunk 2077 really falls short. The customization is terrible. Since Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG, and features all of the classic stats that each piece of armor or weaponry will have. However, because of this, anyone playing the game will find themselves looking incredibly stupid. There is no secondary system for equipping better looking clothing. This needs to change.

Vehicles & Handling
Vehicles really don't feel different. On top of that, they're floaty and just don't feel good. They still do their job, but fall short of feeling satisfying.

Upgrades/Mods
The upgrades and mods are great. They allow for a diverse number and combinations of builds.

Decision Making
Your decisions do not matter. There are probably under 20 dialog options in the game that will actually matter. All the others will just slightly affect the dialog of the other character. The three beginning choices, Nomad, Streetkid, and Corpo do not matter. They have little to no effect on the story or characters.

Performance
Oh god, this sucks. Performance is terrible. They need to fix this.

Bugs
There are hundreds, if not thousands of bugs in this game. While the majority of them are graphical, some are majorly game breaking. These won't be fixed for a long time. Expect a Witcher 3.

tl;dr
The story is great, the gunplay is mediocre, the decision making is great, your actual effect on the world is minimal, the AI is garbage, there are hundreds of bugs, and the performance sucks. Nevertheless, I’ve put in 50 hours into the game and have enjoyed every minute. Do I think it’s worth it at the current price? No. Buy it when it goes on sale for $40.

The game is incredibly fun. I finished the campaign on the first day, and I can still endlessly blow things up. I would highly recommend that you buy this. The only issue lies in the performance during large scale destruction. But, what can you expect when simulating millions of voxels? Buy it, you won't regret it.

Buying this game was a mistake.

Just don't play it.
