yep - this is dead space. very good remake. i should've refunded my callisto to fund the cost of this deluxe edition, but i don't regret it either way

Reviewing it again after I finished my playthrough.

Don't go into it expecting a dead space experience. It is not and you will be thoroughly disappointed if that is the only reason you're getting this game.

If that is not what you're expecting though and you go in with a fresh mindset, you may have a blast with it. I did. It's not for everyone though. The game looks stunning and I find the combat fun.

The game gets repetitive though. The story also falls flat, and its absolutely criminal that they didn't use Cpt. Ferris's character more.

I don't recommend buying it at full price. Get it on sale if you wanna play it.

The thing i flat out hate is charging 28$ for a DLC with content that striking distance is gonna release half a year into the future. That's extremely pretentious. I would rather have had the finished game with the DLC half a year later if it meant ironing out all the issues everyone is currently complaining about. Maybe then the release wouldn't have been so disastrous.

Awfully optimized. The settings dont allow me to turn the graphics quality down.

Thats why I am leaving a negative review. Otherwise the game looks great, and has an aesthetic that no backrooms game thus far has been able to pull off. If not for the awful optimization the game would be perfect.
