The humor is pretty much a hit or miss, and things gets tedious pretty quickly.
There were some fun and statisfying moment, and there were very lame moments you'd rather expect them in an unfair rage game, in both situations you'll have to start over from the beginning. So it got repetitive and old fast.

I do appreciate the game's style, art and game design though, and it got a few laughs out of it.
But for the mostly dark and cruel humor it has, like random deaths, murder and gores, it's hardly my kind of humor at all.
The reason why I played over 10 hours was more because most of the endings were unsatisfying, and I kept searching for an ending that satisfied me more, but even the 100th ending left me with a bad taste. The dev's ego also shows.
It's less of a "branching path with 100 endings" and more a "100 different ways to die".

I'd say the game's good and stylish to give it a shot, the first few hours were the most fun to me.

For the ideal situation, I probably recommend this game to play along with friends/children that ask you to something savage and then been suprised that it actually worked, or hand over the controller to them to decide their fate themselves. And have a fun time together.

Other than that, it gets too repetitive later on to play it solo.

Game's looking good and promising so far. As a fan of Powder Game, this game really feels good with it. I see a lot of elements with gas, fire and liquid that I don't see often in many other games. Makes this game feel really good to use the world at your advantage.
Difficulity spike ramps up a lot once entering the third area. But it certainely adds some challenge to it. and combining the wands with projectiles adds some good item managing too.

The game 'works' on my laptop with the minimum specs, but it plays rather slow, especially when a lot of stuff is happening. On the gaming PC it plays faster and more smooth, so it's recommended to have a strong PC to play this game.

The game's in early access, but it's already worth picking up, there's enough variation in the world, items and combinations to keep you entertained for hours, and I hope this improves later on.

Man, this has been an experience.
This has been quite the remake over the original NES one.

I find it a funny one, where the original stood out over the other NES games, this version is going back to the classic experience.
And dang, it's been very statisfying, the music, sound effects and graphics all brings me back to the old NES age. Which is something greater than just doing pixel art.

Is it better than the original Blaster Master?
In my view, absolutely! though it's also very different than before.
- In it's graphics and gameplay, it has a lot of QoL and visual improvements that in general makes it a more playable game for a wider audience. Everything about it feels much more polished and satisfying to play with.
- In it's difficulity however, I think the game's QoL changes have made it's difficulity toned down a bit too much, Things like diagonal aiming, the Energy Guard that protects your gun level, and the max gun level all makes the top-down sections pretty trivial. Although it does feature a lot of new mechanics that changes the game's difficulity in a different way. so overall it's a much more enjoyable experience.
And there is also a Destroyer Mode, that makes the game really hard in an unique way.
If I may be honest, most of the difficulity of the original game came from the lack of saves, and the need to complete it in one session. That's a rather outdated method if you ask me.
- It also improved greatly on the subweapons, Sophia's subweapon have all a shared, recharging meter, and Jason has a larger variety of subweapons to choose from.
- All the original songs have changed entirely, with the exception of the music from the first stage. At first I was missing the nostalgia of it. But after a while, the new OST felt great and fits it's place on it's own.

The game also has a story and dialogue now. :o
The intro holds pretty close to the original, but you'll notice later that it has changed quite a bit. I find that a neat addition.

It's not as difficult as it was, but overall the experience fits much better than it used to be.

Is it a decent PC port?
If you have a controller and a good PC by today's standards, then the port is great!
It also works well on low end PC's or laptops, the only thing I saw was a minor graphical error during the transition between rooms. I havn't been bothered much by it, as I thought that was part of the NES experience. Lol
It's also playable on keyboard, but it has a lot of different buttons you'll need to assign to, and had a difficult time playing on it regardless. So the game is more designed to play on a controller.

There's however one major gripe about replayability regarding Unlimited and Destroyer Mode: In order to get the true ending, you'll need to defeat ALL optional bosses and obtain ALL optional items, even if the items doesn't do anything because of the Bonus character limitations or playing Destroyer Mode. This makes it more tedious than it makes it harder.

Overall, Blaster Master Zero is a great way to restore the original game in the new timeline, it's a refreshing experience while keeping the main idea of the game still intact. It's been a great ride and I would love to play BMZ2 too.

My favorite fighting game series I've seen and now been able to play it on PC.

From a fan who has only played SCII, the experience is just as great as I've seen, and the character creator already allows a lot of creativity.

Buying it at the full price is rather doubtful, as I've mostly been on the character creator and arcade sections so far.
But I just love to have SoulCalibur available on PC already, and that was worth my investment.

Main concern though, it's not keyboard friendly on the menu options. And you can only rebind keyboard controls for the combat. It works pretty fine when you get used to it.

Something about a Bat lady wanting to go Castlevania style and transformed her mansion to play Dracula for a day. As far as the story goes.

The game's a fun idea of a Touhou/Castlevania crossover, I knew only a little about Touhou, but I find it funny how these cast of characters fits the Castlevania universe so well.
I always like crossovers, as it allows them to introduce communities to know about each other's franchises. And this is a crossover well done.

Pros:
- Great artstyle and animations
- Incredible music, originated from the Touhou series, and remixed in such a great way that it fits the Castlevania universe.
- Fun mechanic to stop or slow down time, this also alters the surroundings, so it makes for a puzzle tool too. It can also be used as additional magic source for skills.
- Interesting way to use Graze instead of enemy drops to regain health/mana
- The Bosses are cool and unique, they have given me a beating several times.
- Suprisingly light game for it's smooth animations.

Cons:
- Shop system is rather poor, after I noticed I'm getting stronger by not selling these gems, I didn't saw much reason to use the shop at all. (Though have to abmit, the healing items at the final boss will be nice to have)

It took around 6 hours to get through it all on my first run, so it's a bit on the short side. But it's collectables can keep you busy.

I formerly said that the game felt like a cliché Castlevania, but after revisiting, I certainely feel like that this game is unique on it's own, and added enough twists to the mechanics to stray away from the standard formula to keep the game unique. This is a game well done.

An amazing combination of Blaster Master and Metroid II with a cat.

For it's cheap price and classic appearance, they've really nailed the experience. it's a very statisfying game to play. Though It's also a short one, but that's expected from the price.
For it's classic appearance. it does like to break that rule sometimes, which is a fun twist.
It's upgrades are memorable from earlier mentioned games, but they still has an unique mechanic to them.
For example you have a rocket upgrades, but instead of ammo, it overheats by repeated use. and you can rocket jump with it!
The psygics are so smooth that I would love to see a speedrun session of it.
And finally:The cat character is adorable and it shows.

Cons to keep in mind:
- The game's just released and it's open to some glitches, I encountered a critical one that required me to restart the game.
- The last area is a 'point of no return'. But it actually warns you when reaching that point, so you don't have to worry about reaching it by accident.
- The ending itself is also a point of no return, and it's so open-ended that it leaves me with a lot of questions.

Really worth getting if you've been in either Metroid or Blaster Master. And I love both!

My review is not about 'Is Cave Story a good game?' (Because yes! it is!)
But I'd rather want to say if this remaster is worth buying?
(In case it's not clear yet, this game is a remaster of an otherwise freelance game available on the developers main page.
So the original game is actually free!)

So, while the game does have remastered the soundtrack and graphics, the main game actually plays the -exact- same way as the original did: No improvements of QoL, No hidden pathways, all the bonus content is available on the menu instead. So if you've already archieved all things in the original game, you can do it all over again through the non-skippable cutscenes.

However, just only the fact that it has different saves, and even an individual save for the challenging part. Is already what makes it worth buying it.

It has some more small features of it, the challenges been the most interesting of all. But the amount of extra content it has seems to be smaller than I had expected for the price.
It IS however a direct improvement of the original game though. So it has my upvote for that.
It's a bonus expansion for an already great game. But keep in mind that the game itself remains the same as the original, which is available for free.

My review is not about 'Is Chrono Trigger a good game?'. (because yes! it is!)
But instead: Is it worth buying the Steam version of it?

As far I can recall, most of the ports this game has gotten has been on old consoles, Which likely represents the original game more.
The PC version has recieved a port from mobile instead. It had a bad start, but it has gotten several updates that improved the experience more with the original.

And as result, well, the game is playable to some degree, as I havn't encountered critical issues.
But it's framerate doesn't feel as fast as it used to be. And because it's framerate is sudden or slower, it won't look as smooth either. And the change of animations and music feels so direct that it's missing the immersion. These are the only things lacking to give my upvote.

But as of current, This is probably the most working version that's currently available.
The only other choice is the mobile version that doesn't even include the updates made here...so yeah...

I do recommend Chrono Trigger. Especially if you havn't played it before. But you should consider this as a last option to try it out.
Sadly, the choices are rather slim, as the original isn't available anymore.
So I guess it's a take it, or leave it. It's not like we can change time and warp back to 1995 A.D. ourselves, eh?
