Hogwart's Legacy was this fan's wet dream. Like most really good dreams, you'll only experience them once. This game is quite enjoyable for what it is, a brisk 5th year quest at the prodigious school of Hogwarts. The story line is a lot of fun and similarly ridiculous to Harry's own school year plights. Some of the side characters/companions are absolutely delightful, some are milquetoast. This is life, no? I spent 170 hours of this game just basking in the vibes, flying on my broom, saying "your blood is on Ranrok's hands" as I commit Goblin genocide. The castle is GORGEOUS.
After getting 99% of the achievements I was spent. As vibey as it is there are some clear flaws.
The game clearly has some half cooked ideas that didn't get entirely ripped out of it/ smoothed over. Lack of a moral ground/ dialogue choices altering the story is peppered throughout the game but leads nowhere. Similar feelings with companions. Especially of one certain Ravenclaw boy not being a true companion. The ending of the game especially suffered. This choice should have meant the most and all that was received was a different cut scene.
The replayability for me lay only in the achievements/ exploring other common houses.
If you are a Harry Potter fan then 100% get this. If you are not, then you might not enjoy this unless you get it on a good sale.
I shall return, if ever we receive the exclusive PS5 quest.

The sound design was hands down the most impressive part of this game. Story was well done, the MC was very cool. His story was interesting and revealed well. Loved the abilities that can be unlocked.
I played on the Knight level which was a good level of challenge.

It good.
