Overall, this game had a ton of potential. Imagine true coop missions, all the different modes of transport, filming mode, base jumping, wingsuits, open world, incredible potential. The problem is, the game just isn't fun. It wears out its' welcome almost as soon as the gamer gets over the learning curve.

Truly uninspiring, I have no desire to play this game or progress further. Even after the grind updates and etc, the game feels like just a huge collection of ♥♥♥♥♥♥, short races and poorly designed challenges. Bad mechanics on rails, bad scoring system that is painfully simple. The game feels broken and it's a year after release. I feel like I'm on a damn fetch mission over and over and over, which is pointless because you can fast travel anywhere so this makes all challenges repetitive and ♥♥♥♥♥♥. There's also nothing to do outside of the challenges, which are pretty boring and always short.

Challenges can be beaten on gold very easily. They all seem like they're under a minute, way under sometimes, so you can retry and quickly crank out about 20 attempts, as many as needed to get lucky and beat the short challenge. Overall they want you to make a lot of attempts and make a perfect run on one of them, this means beating them requires time, not skill. They don't want you to try and learn the course and the turns and shave time w good technique, the game is not that deep. None of the races are long enough for you to fall, and if you fall, you should restart, NPCs don't fall. All in all, you just put time into this and don't feel like you're getting good or becoming more skilled at the game. Save for some of the wingsuit challenges that are addicting and cool, sharpening reflexes, the rest of the challenges are uninspiring and dull.

Then there's the "story." ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you just follow people and listen to terribly annoying dialogue about a mountain you care nothing about. Tour the mountain! Repeat, repeat, repeat. I got this super cheap, I wish I never spent the loot at all, it really is bad.

Mind you, I havent checked out the winter olympics expansion that I DO own, and yes, Alaska is pretty cool. The wingsuits are fun. But this basically feels like an uninspired, boring, POS and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Game just feels broken and nerfed. Rail mechanics suck. And you have to use Uplay, that's the cherry on top. Lots of advertising in game as this is Ubisoft. Honestly extremely disappointed in my reckless $15 purchase. That's how bad this game really is. I don't plan on finishing it, but it's nice to look at no doubt.

This game is amazing. It originally featured a very small development team that worked on the game for something like 6 years. You can tell from the details there is a lot of love put into Metro. The redux is awesome, as they fine tuned the original and put some options to make the game more accessible. You can choose whether to focus on stealth or make it more focused on gunplay. Both are excellent and regardless of what you choose you can still opt towards stealth options which will definitely be necessary.

There are so many good things about this game, and so many details that lend themselves to the immersion. I couldn't fathom playing it on a console because there are so many buttons and little details you use.

You blast a beast, blood spatters on your face. You hit G to wipe your gas mask so you can see, then quickly charge your batteries so your flashlight or night vision doesn't crap out on you in the next fight. You run through a maze of carnage outside, trying not to get picked off by whatever that is flying around, you stumble upon a huge pack of enemies, you grab your shotgun and check that it's loaded.

BEEP BEEP BEEP, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, your filter has expired, you start struggling to breathe. Frantically you start blasting the group of enemies while searching for a spare filter, but you are attacked and broke your gas mask anyway. Your vision goes blurry as you race towards a building for refuge, choking on radiation. You run like a ♥♥♥♥♥ from the last of the enemies, and squeeze inside at the last second before collapsing on the floor.

You feel overwhelmed, damning the fact you hadn't scavenged for a spare filter before going outside. Then you hear a low cry, something you haven't heard before. Uh oh, it's a librarian, I hope you found and read the journal entry on how to control this beast, because you don't have many shells and they aren't doing much anyway. It comes at you and your heart skips a beat. Hard stop.

You pause the game, and remove your headphones. You're safe in your room. "This is too much" you think as you take a breather, pacing down the hall to return to the challenge in 5 minutes. This game is very intense, sometimes unforgiving, and incredibly immersive. I love it. The details all add up to something great.

When the newest metro comes out next year I might just ♥♥♥♥ myself!!!!!

not sure how it will play out overall, but I couldn't put the controller down for the first session. It's a pretty new take on puzzle solving/platforming and is pretty fun overall. I hope it doesn't get too repetititve. They seem to ramp up the challenge factor reasonably as you get better. It is also a very pretty game with unique art style. These are my first impressions, seems like a good one, not sure about replay value though, but I would get it on sale as it does get nice and cheap, Im thinking around the 5-7 dollar range. I'd say worth it, looking forward to finishing it.

I will have to pop back on, look like a noob who cheated to 25s and then have a look at all the new weapons and maps. I bet they have doubled the game since when I last played and the holiday events are always welcome. Something about shooting christmas ♥♥♥♥ and zombies makes me feel like the old days playing KF1 on a crappy laptop.

Why do people like Nazi zombies? When they could have the better game with way more quality at a way lesser price and not have to buy it new every year.

Like damn. This has been out since 2016, good job on the support, dev team. You really justify your inclusion of paid cosmetics, and they are even kind to the people who want to earn cosmetics and made a free branch of cosmetics as well.

Pro consumer moves from a good team of people.

Where to begin with Duke Nukem 3d Megaton Edition.

1. It's a classic
2. It has nothing to do with the most recent Duke Nukem Installment which truly sucked.
3. They include classic as well as revamped modes
4. Online multiplayer with level editor
5. Online coop- this is the best way to beat this game, which admittedly can get TOUGH at times.
6. 4 Pack offered, pick this up so you can treat your buddies, and they can help you win in return.
7. They fixed the retarded old controls and made this a true joy to play.

Overall this game is an excellent value at under $5. If you enjoyed any of these old types of games such as Doom, Wolfenstein etc, then go ahead and pick this one up, because it is the best one. It's the best game in the Duke Nukem series. So if you want a crack at a classic game that is raunchy and helped make first person shooters what they are today, then go ahead and pay homage and pick this one up.

Only thing I recommend is looking at how the controls are mapped out right away, because you'll need to make a quick tweak so it plays like current shooters where you can move and look independently.

Also, it is admittedly more fun once you know the levels and where the keys are located. The game can be tedious and annoying as ♥♥♥♥ if you're stuck looking for keys like doom. If you get stuck look up the solution in the guide or play through with someone who knows what they're doing and will show you the ways. You aren't ruining the experience by doing so.
