With that out of the way, here are some things I hope get implemented in the future:

- Achievements (The rogue mode has enough silly interactions and events to warrant some, imo)
- A stage based on Hologra's Hololive HQ.
- A "Joke" character. I crave something a bit more outlandish than Coco's memes.

It's 10 pm. I give off a small yawn while watching cat videos on YouTube. I should probably go to bed soon. But I don't have work tomorrow, so I don't mind staying up a little later. I decide to play something real quick.

~Five and a half hours later~

My eyes are bloodshot. It's 3 in the morning. I blink and all I see are numbers. ASMR no longer snatches that specific feeling. Only the sound of killing thousands of bats, ghouls, ghosts, mantis things, and a whole other variety of demonic creatures can make my ears feel at ease. I plan on buying merch of my favorite weapon, the bible, as soon as possible.

In all seriousness though, the game is stupid addicting. It's the type of game you could make your little brother play for an entire day while you have friends over (or not, I don't judge). The controls are as simple as breathing. You move the stick to move. The game does the rest. It would be a killer mobile game if the survival time wasn't 30 minutes. It has everything it needs to be the type of game you'd see somebody playing before class otherwise.

Arcade game. Extremely short. Even my attempt to lengthen it by playing without continues didn't matter since it's easy enough to beat in a couple tries. But it's extremely fun, features retro remixes of some of the best tracks in the franchise's ost, and is worth less than a double western bacon cheeseburger with more replay value than a double western bacon cheeseburger.

This game is an odd duck in every way imaginable. It's a nearly 20 year old remake of a 30+ year old game. The gameplay is nothing like the modern Ys games and yet it's every bit as good in its own way. It has one of, if not the best, osts in the franchise and the plot+gameplay are snappy with very little down time. Its difficulty could be toned down a bit, but the boss design was a small price to pay for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. If you're new to the franchise through Ys VIII or Ys IX and want to see how the franchise was before the shift to a party based system, this is the game for you. If you're interested in the franchise but don't want to snap your controller in half because a certain lava boss is busting your balls, maybe try Ys VI or the newer games before hitting this one up.

So far the game has been serviceable. Its gameplay is a little different from other Tales games and it lacks the typical Tales charm with some truly legendarily boring dungeons. That said, Berseria easily has one of the most interesting plots and an incredibly fun cast on top of this gameplay style being well tuned.

The game's settings are very extreme. Naturally, you can change graphics settings like V-sync and shadows, but it also let's you adjust the FPS so you can play the game on a low end graphics card without feeling like it's running in slow motion. The settings also allow you to choose how much of a buffer you have between moves which is big for somebody like me who tends to get a little mashy and prefers to push a different button once the attack animation ends.

It's nowhere near my favorite Tales game at the moment (The Abyss the GOAT), but it's also quite far from my least favorite. That on top of the fact that you could probably play this on an actual potato thanks to the settings is more than enough to warrant a recommendation.

Edit: Upon beating the game, the plot goes from quite good to amazing, the cast is probably my favorite cast in a Tales game, and it's honestly just insanely well thought out mechanically. Beating strong enemies unlocks items that only work if you git gud and play on a higher difficulty, weapon exp is connected to Grade so if you git gud at the combat you will also grind less, and the Katz boxes/Tales Coins naturally give you something to do besides fight enemies. While the dungeons and gameplay never really got any better, they were at least thematically sound enough to mix with the game's themes. Being an absolute berserk who is basically seen as the antichrist in this game makes the fact that you fight exclusively with artes really fitting. Overall, the game is like an 8. I definitely recommend it if you want a unique experience.

It's a very obvious Vita port. The stages are short, the gameplay is limited, and the online is nonexistent unless you have other people you know personally. That said, it is by far the funniest game in the franchise with its constant zombie film and game references, 4th wall breaks, legendary 16th wall breaks, and having full knowledge that they are making the Neptunia Equivalent of The Room. It can be played in short bursts if so desired but you can also sink 6-8 hours into it if you really want to see how it ends. Even though there isn't much to really do in the game I was able to get 20 hours out of it and since it's almost always on sale I find no reason not to recommend it to anybody who is interested.

Moral of the story, life freakin' sucks. Sometimes one simple thing could ruin your life but you just don't notice it. That's basically what I got from this 10 minute (I timed it and everything) game. It has some rather goofy moments mixed in, but then the game just kinda gets ya. So is it worth the price tag? Well, I mean, it IS free.
