Halls of Torment is a fantastic game that benefited A LOT from a series of updates released by the devs. Game biggest strenghts revolves around:

• Good Progression
  
• Interesting build diversity that grows with each update
  
• Variety of playstyles: from melee and magic spells to summons or tanky builds

With other unique traits that I loved, but may be niche:

• Late 90/early 2000 nostalgic isometric graphics (like Diablo 2)
  
• Moderate scaling, meaning that you will not instantly benchmark your pc at the start of a run after farming for some hours

It may not be everyone's favorite, but Halls of Torment is one of the best, if not the best game from the bullet heaven/roguelite genre that exploded in popularity between 2022 and 2023!
