It's a simple, but loving game. It's short (~6 hrs), and not specially hard. Most of the good this game has goes from the "visual novel" part, rather than the "tactics" part (too easy). Anyway, nowadays it's very uncommon to me to even finish a game (most of them doesn't keep my attention for more than a couple of hours). Anyway, loved the story and the characters :)

This is a very fun, informative and emotional game. I really liked the story, and imho, really sucks you in. The puzzles are balanced, voice acting is awesome and music is amazing.

The only con, is that I found the game to have little replay value (unless you are a collector), and it's quite short (don't take into account the hours in my profile).

The whole game is a complete experience into the atrocities of The Great War.

This is not a "terrible" game, it's just it's not engaging at all. I entered the game, confronted with a menu, went trough a tutorial, then the game started. What (or who) is the character?. The game feels hollow and empty, almost without a story. I found the graphics colorful, but dull. The scenarios are not attractive at all, a lot of colorful tree like structures with some lines, but they don't seem alive. Why in the world are you running in this forest killing grunts and those strange flying things?. The music kind of "meh", but repetitive. As someone reviewed, it's forgettable.

After playing Guacamelee (in all this forms), I found this game be quite similar (beat em up, colorful, a lot of enemies), but lacks humour, variety and charm. Contrary to Guacamelee, the rooms are randomly generated, and harder, but it's not enough for wanting me to go back if there's no motivation behind.

Yeah, I know, I played for less than an hour (probably half an hour). With a enormous backlog, I couldn't find any reason to play more time to see if the game get better. It's strange when you see all the praise (126 positive reviews), but well, maybe makes sense playing more time.

TL; DR
Boring, repetitive, hollow and the art forgettable.

Ok, the game premises are very standard. You control Zach, a guy who likes astronomy and looks the sky every night. One night a falling star crashes and you go to see only to find the "meteor" is actually a blonde woman. The first hour or a bit more are simple "fetch" quests, regarding a conflict between a girl vs boy gangs. Then, after making a lot of noise you decide to escape from the city and go tour around the world.

Honestly, the game itself it's not bad, and I'd say the music is quite good, but in a couple of hours a game should "catch" you. I got a little bored when I had to go to the Bear Forest again, to look for a (clueless?) captain of a pirate ship to the leave the starting area, so I quitted the game, and I don't believe I'm going to enter the game again.

It's just not interesting enough to wanting me to go back to disclose the story.

PS.- Steam incorrectly logged the time. I played for abour 1 or 2 hours.

Ok, I've only played for about an hour (dunno why it says less than an hour, but anyway).

Plot

Since this is a RPG, the main thing here is the plot, which is simple and falls very short. Suddenly some big guy choose you to go to a strange place and you are supposed to destroy the evil lurks within (not exactly that, but you get the idea). Name places', nor characters names, are consistent or makes sense.

Graphics

I didn't like the graphics at all, but I imagine someone could like them. There are a strange mix between illustrations, and hand-drawn and Gaulen animations are clumsy.

Combat

Mechanics are simple, but fights are boring. Just click, and occasionally use an ability. Monsters are repetitive too. Fights are hard, but not rewarding, besides, how is possible that I'm being picked by some sort of god, but I can barely manage a party of three goblins. I don't know, it doesn't make sense.

You just have to walk around to find which fights you can pick, and then go into the next one, and then rinse and repeat. Characters fall flat, specially the "the hero" Gaulen, that doesn't have any kind of personality on his own.

I just played one day, today I found the game using space in my hard drive, and haven't been touched since the day I installed it. The game is simply not fun at all.

This makes me sad, I've backed a lot of games in kickstarter (not this one though), and I'm getting constantly disappointed :/

PS.- it doesn't work very well on Linux (unoptimized), though I didn't encounter as much problems as other players.

Steamworld dig is a very fun metroidvania game. Graphics are nice to look, the ambienal music it's great, albeit somwhat repetitive. The game is quite short though, and in general, it's not very challenging, but you can easily got stuck.

The mechanics are quite simple, you dig, get gems, you change them for money (and get xp), then you can buy different artifacts and improvements to your character.

The price is fair, so, I won't doubt to recommend it if you find it on sale.

Besides being a bit short, I didn't find too much replay value on the game, so I would say that's the only drawback. Anyway, a very fun game that I totally recommend! :)

El protagonista habla aún mientras estés comiendo, fumando o bebiendo... too much.

No, gratis tampoco.

Bastion it's probably one of the best RPG games I've played, the story and drawing it's awesome.

Though, playing with a controller it's recommended.
