I'm absolute garbage at this game. Not gonna lie, don't really know anyone who isn't. If you plan on buying this, which I highly recommend you do, be prepared for one of the most frustrating and unforgiving games out there... once.

After the first runthrough of Rain World, I really began to appreciate the game itself. The visuals are uniquely beautiful, working your way through the decaying, neglected world is a surreal and vibrant experience. The subtle sounds of the game only add to it, the squeaking of Slugcat's hands against the poles you must climb throughout the game, the thudding sound of the near-infinite lizards hitting the ground in pursuit of you, even the endless ambiance of dripping water makes a fantastic environment for Rain World's obscure story to take place.

The story is an odd one for sure. You don't really know what to do at the start, at all. However, guidance comes in the form of a strange yellow creature, doing its best to ensure you reach your goal, however bad it is at doing so. You're gonna die, a lot. Then die some more, and maybe a tad more for good measure. You aren't the hero here, you just need to break the cycle.

To me personally, Rain World is a 10/10.

Your review is lit! 🔥 It's like reading a mini novel, so much detail and passion. You're a pro at this, seriously!
