I love this game to bits despite the fact that I have a bad memory, a short attention span and no object permanence, which just shows how really good it is. Made me want to play the previous entries in the franchise as well.

An amazing game all the way through, but what especially stood out to me in terms of the overall experience is act 2. This game has one of the best second acts of any game I've ever played.

I've only had the chance to play a little bit of it so far, but the game has an intriguing story and atmosphere that pulls you in and keeps continuously interested in what's going to happen next. The soundtrack and art style are on point and I like how the story doesn't take itself too seriously but at the same time doesn't go overboard with the occasional silliness.

The balance between horror and fun combat is almost perfect in this game and the story felt engaging enough to make me wanna play through it again. I was happy to see Mercenaries make a return too and I put more hours into that game mode than I expected, it's super fun.

This game lets me play as a crazy Irishman.

The new zone is so pretty, especially Amenos. I can't say much about the main story though, because I got sidetracked by treasure hunting, crafting new sets, finding leads, playing ToT and doing sidequests, so I didn't get very far. But in my opinion that just means the zone is well-made and has a lot of stuff to do. Some volcanic vents can take ages to spawn though.

This game was single-handedly responsible for reawakening my love for isometric RPGs. It went under my radar when it was first released but recently I decided to give it a chance and I became obsessed with it within the first two hours of playing it. I think what makes the story unique is how you start out working for the evil conquerors but you're still a "hero" in a sense so it really puts classic fantasy tropes into a different perspective. One of the only few games that allow you to be really (and I mean REALLY) evil. Only problem I have with it is that the combat feels a bit boring and lackluster, but I think the story and the sheer amount of options make up for it.

The fact that this game is still playable in 2022 and doesn't feel dated at all speaks for itself.
